They're right, all we have is pop and rap in America (I mean in the U.S., Canada is part of America too but isn't considered "American", but whatev's). It's not bad, but it gets really tiring when they play the same 10 songs for multiple months...I want my pop-rock / pop-punk!

Yeah U.S. has a lot more bands, but that makes it much harder to find the "better" ones. And even if Marianas Trench was from the U.S., they'd still get a label because they are so much better than a lot of bands here.
