They're not the same developer at all assuming you're talking about OFP2? That's produced in house at Codemasters now whereas Arma 1 and 2 are made by the creators of the original OFP games- Bohemia Interactive.

Have you seen the latest gameplay of opfp2 at e3? it looks arcady at best, red barrals next to target in the middle of the battlefield? wow! ammo crates in the middle of nowhere? wow!! and the A.I sucks, i mean the A.I waited for the guy to relaod to engage him again lol it's a console game now so that means the pc version will suffer from console hangover indeed.

I hated ARMA's standard AI settings compare to OF 1. AI on normal had no problem to shot me down with BMP while I was covered in ridge and bushes. What's worst I haven't shot towards them. When I decreased awareness of bots they suddenly started to be as dumb as bots in CS 1.6......Hope ARMA2 will have better then what it is in the first one.

i really dont think that ofp2 is gonna be less realistic than arma2 because codemasters know that they have a huge fan base out there waiting for another realistic tactic-shooter. Andi if they would approach the cod4 kind of gameplay they wouldnt have the same earnings as they ll have creatin a game like ofp1 because it ll be still too hardcore for cod4 gamers anyway. just take a look at all the facts of ofp2; i mean u just cant put more realism in a game than they do.

the more i read about this game the more i think it will beat ofp2, for example.. this you will get the use of fixed wing aircraft in ofp you will only be able to fly helo's, in this you will also have the direct use of artillery fire apparently ofp doesnt have this.. though ofp does still have some awesome things going for it such as permanent destruction. i think both will be amazing! but im now wanting this one that little bit more!
