lol you don't sound like a idiot at all. I’m a storm spotter and pretty new to spotting and I have yet to see an tornado for myself but have seen what I think was funnel and it was a adrenaline rush let me tell ya lol

i live in piedmont and a lot of my friends houses were destroyed during the tornado. It was two miles away from my house and after the tornado we drove down the road it went through it its so depressing seein the destruction. It has been about a month and people are starting to recover. It has really brought our community together. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers.

In South Los Angeles County there is nothing but the most mundane weather in the U.S. - I must make an effort to take time off and travel to observe first hand these awesome spectacles of destruction. Of course I certainly don't want to forget they have caused many deaths and financial loss as well for many Americans.
