  • Hello, I have been trying to flash my n900, do you type anything into the cmd to get it started.

  • hi i unintentionally installed an obsolete kernel program to alter the mhz my n900 performs at but then i realized i was not soupposed to. i uninstalled it then restarted my phone after wards. it no longer boots up as normal.

it has this endless loop of rebooting all i see is th NOKIA logo with the white background and then it goes black then NOKIA logo and it is the same recurring thing.

is there a possibility that flashing to factory default will solve my issue?

    please reply asap.

  • you have the no sin recognized icon,, are u using a sim card, or after flashing it stills nos recognize the sim card, l cant resolve that problem

  • Thanks man

  • The firststep is reflash the ROM, no?

And secondary step is reflash the eMMC, right?

What happens if I reflash first my eMMC?

  • @blesson87 Make sure you are using a powered USB port. No HUB. Sometimes the front USB on a computer is also not good. Use the back ports. What is your Operating System? Is it 64 or 32 bit?

  • @jykazu its a 32 bit ... no worries n thank you for getting back to me. apparently windows seven doesnt support flashing. worked out on vista. thx a lot mate

  • Dumb ass video. He is talking while displaying different text on the screen.

  • @MidnightrambIer3760 Haha. Yes just as dumb as displaying crap in a toilet.

  • @MidnightrambIer3760 DId you need them to be the same? You need subtitles? Let me know.

  • @jykazu Any person can comprehend. But different topic in spoken words and written words just doesn't mix.

It's like a weather forecaster talking about rainy days while displaying lyrics of a Madonna song on the screen. It doesn't make sense.

  • @MidnightrambIer3760 Now you are making sense. I agree. I am just testing out video editing. I am no pro. I did not like your first comment, because you start by calling it a Dumb Ass video.

  • @jykazu Learn not to be offended in Youtube. Nothing personal because no one knew each other here in Youtube. I won't say that in real personal encounter.

  • @MidnightrambIer3760 Yeah. I'm the same person online and in person.

  • @jykazu Oh , I thought you were the camera man... LOL..

  • sir! please help me please help me.! i installed debian img installer and then uninstalled it. after that i restarted my device but it keep on flashing NOKIA with a vibration but doesn't proceed forward and after some time it says MALFUNCTION..! DEVICE RESTART IN 10 SEC. PLEASE HELP ME...! WHAT SHOULD I DO. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

  • @mrtruth786 Please understand that I am not Nokia support, so I may not have the corrrect answer. But it may be better to find a Windows XP 32 bit system to try flashing it. Don't use virtual PC or XP mode in Windows 7. It never worked for me.

  • @jykazu sir thank u! can u please tell me the proper,, detailed and safe way to flash my NOKIA N900 PLEASE

  • what a useless demo, no commands!! and what's up with the porno music?

  • @prayfawind Why does everyone think I am Nokia support? Have a nice day.

  • @prayfawind Anyway, I could not add commands, because they may change. Instead you need to goto the web site I listed to download the files needed. Only putting commands in the site would not help anyone if they are different when they see the video.

  • @jykazu sir please help me that how should i re flash my NOKIA N900 using WINDOWS 7. my device says MALFUNCTION! DEVICE SHUTDOWN IN 10 S. please tell me a proper and safe way to flash my nokia n900. please please help me.

  • Hi sir! I just bought my n900 a week ago and i changed the security code. Unfortunately, I forgot the the security code which i have set. I have it sent to the nokia service center and they said they could not restore the factory settings after flashing it. They said they have to download another software. Is it it possible that Nokia will not able to reset my security code? Thank you.

  • hey there i just updatet the firmware but i dont know wy on the internal memory it says that its avalible only 1gb , id erase all music on the device but it still shows that is avalible only 1 gb... and i cant put the music back.. pls help

  • @gohan2oo6 1GB might mean the RAM. Where are you seeing this? Are you looking in the Memory Setting app? Look at the details button in the Memory app in the settings..

  • why dont you show how to exactly run the command on the FLASHER because i didnt understand how to run them

for example in the instruction they said run this command ::

    --set-rd-flags ??

so how do i run it exactly i keep getting :

is not recognized as an intertnal or rxternal command, operable program or batch file.

    please help me

    thanks a lot :)

  • I have to rely on people using their instructions, because the command or versions can change. But the error you are having is because you are typing the command in the wrong location in your windows. You are having a windows command line problem. You need to make sure you "cd" or "change directory" on the command line to where the flasher is located before you run the command.

  • hey how r u doing sir?

could u help me to reset the n900 to factory default ,cuz i have some problems on my device languages . so what do i need to download software to reset n900? and my pc is vista home pre.32-bit. processor AMD turion. any help?

  • Btw, the processor is ARM based. I.e it is not an intel atom processor.

  • I had sooooo many questions about this subject. I was having trouble with my N900. But i read some of the comments and your responces and i found all the answers to the questions i had. thanks a lot.

i subscribe by the way. go ahead and make more N900 videos. so far you make the most helpful N900 video's on youtube. for some reason most people make 30 sec videos. and most are just demo. thanks a lot again.

    great and helpful videos. :)

  • Hi, I have the same problem as giridaya I flash my phone twice but its still freezing when i turn it on :( can someone please help me fix it !!!

  • @mehrankhorsandali . Try to turn it on with no SIM card inside.

  • @mehrankhorsandali Also, make sure not to use a 64 bit OS. I would not even use vista or windows 7 for now. If you can find XP. Also, make sure no PC Suite software is running in the background. Get the second ROM release and flash it. There are 2 current roms. Use the second one.

  • @mehrankhorsandali Dont flash it with the same one you have. There are 2 main flash files. I am not talking about the EMMC file. There are 2 different avialable MAIN ROM files. Try both of them. I had an issue and one worked. The other did not.

  • Hey James. I am trying to flash the second internal memory. The CMD prompt boots into flash mode, but then my phone keeps on freezing. Any ideas on what I can do? I can email you some screen shots if need be. Many thanks!

  • That is hard to say. Are you using a USB hub? If so, connect directly to your computer. If a home PC, don't connect to any front USB ports.

  • Send me any additional info you have. send me a direct message if you want to discuss this further.

  • I tried using the front USB ports, back USB ports and even another computer. All times, my phone froze. I even re-flashed the OS as one forum suggested, but this never worked. I am not too concerned about flashing the Internal Memory anymore as have just manually deleted my user content. Thanks for your help anyway.

  • @giridaya Also, make sure not to use a 64 bit OS. I would not even use vista or windows 7 for now. If you can find XP. Also, make sure no PC Suite software is running in the background. Get the second ROM release and flash it. There are 2 current roms. Use the second one.

  • i did some research on resetting the lock code but unfortunately i am not familiar with linux.they talked about Code:

echo root:$(grep -A 13 lock_code /dev/mtd1|tail -1 then put this in a file and crack it with any DES cracker... but i have no idea on what to do

  • The problem you describe is odd. Is this a new sim card also? I am guessing that you can start the phone and make phone calls? And the sim lock code works. It is only the phone security code that does not work, so when you try to change it and it asks for the current code, 12345 does not work? I this correct? I will try your steps to see if it works.

  • Yes i can fully operate the phone. the only problem i have is with the phone security default lock code it just keep saying 12345 incorrect code and i have never changed it and its a brand new phone. i am stil waiting to hear from nokia they are looking into it as well. thanks for your help and time

  • I made a video based on that code. It is Nokia n900 video 3.

  • can you make a video on how to get your n900 lock code please the default lock code does not work!!!

  • @redredkroovie I am not sure you can do it. Flashing does not reset it, so it is in the phone, not software. There is something called Nemesis Service Suite that might help, but I think the phone needs to be unlocked to recover the code.

  • @redredkroovie Also, if you have a phone that is locked due to too many incorrect unlock attempts, you might be able to reset that, but it might need a known security code. If you are not able to use the default 12345, then you might need to go to a Nokia service center. Anyone else have any ideas?

  • well i did send my phone to nokia service center. they did unlock it but when i try to change the lock code 12345 still does not work they are looking into as to why this is happening. as for now if someone would accindentaly hit lock cellphone ill be lock out of it again. can you please elaborate more on the Nemesis Service Suite my phone is unlocked as of now thanks for your time

  • I might make a video demonstrating more features of the Nemesis software, but there is a short video by someone else. Search youtube for nemesis service suite. I think you can find it.

  • Great video, TY!!
