when you render your video or when you record them put the width to 1920 and the height to 1080 for the best quality :)

Tips:

1) You can resize the plasma after copying it in(ctrl t) you don't need to worry about it being accurate when resizing and guessing.

2)For the paths you did, considering it was a circle, instead of tracing you could have easily used an elliptical selection tool.

3) Logos like that are done in illustrator. (:
