Yep, I'm a pentecostal! I am seeking the baptism of the Holy Ghost. I've been raised in a pentecostal church. I'm 18. When I was 16 I had rheumatoid arthritus in both feet. On July 8, 2007, I got prayed for, and God healed me!!! I haven't had any trouble since.

Just because someone claimes to be a Pentecostal doesn't mean they are really a Christian. "Christian" means "Christ-like", so are we really? That's what Jesus means when He says not to take His name in vain: don't say you are a Christian if you are really living just like the world.

I have some questions. I am a Cristian. Born and raised trinitarian, but go to a church that the leadership has oneness background. I believe that we can only be saved by one person and that is Jesus. Does the UPC believe that is His real name or is it His earthly name? The point is that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all different titles for God. The concept of the trinity wasn't even around until 300 years after Jesus ascended into heaven.
Because it is the Spirit of God living inside a person. And if you're a believer, it's for you. And give Pentecost a try. You'll see for yourself then. What is the name of the Father? What is the name of the Holy Ghost? Isaiah 9:6 calls the Son the everlasting Father. malachi 2:10; eph 4:6; col 2:9. hope that helps you find that the trinity doctron came 300ad thro & apollogest (cant spell) called tutulean (be with me) and in the constatine era. If they never had a revelation of the cross of Jesus Christ, meaning they did not know God's Love for them personally not as a philosophy,theory,or procedure, as horrific as it seems, they will be parted from God forever without any hope yes hell will be their portion. Only God has the standard of righteousness and NO ONE IS GOOD NOT EVEN ONE rm3second part of verse 9. JESUS is our ONLY HOPE in no-one else is there salvation.

You are definitly Pentecostal in experience and baptism. However, you are not Apostolic as Jesus is not the name of God. Jesus is God's Son, as God testified of him, "Thou art my son in whom I am well pleased." God sent his son, so the scripture says.

I remember growing up people made fun of us Apostolics and called us crazy. Now when we sang a song of describing the power of God upon us they complain we are being boastful. The "world" will never understand God's people and will continue to sing their same song of "that's not being a christian". I thank God for being a 4th generation "Oneness Apostolic"

I am classified as Apostolic Pentecostal but i don't like this song. Anyone can experience Pentecost. You don't have to be 'Pentecostal' to experience what is being described in this song. When you say Apostolic, do you mean that you ascribe to Jesus only theology, meaning you dont believe in "elohim" or the triune God? My pastor says this is a heresy. I consider myself pentecostal, prophetic and apostolic-apostolic meaning that I believe in signs and wonders can still occur as in the day of the apostles but I believe in the triune God, Father, the Word(Jesus) and the Holy Ghost

I'm Apostolic Pentecostal and I thank God for this song. Some of you are taking this the wrong way they aren't worried about what people think of them. i myself am a pentecostal - but i would sooner be excited about what my God is to me than what I am to the rest of the world. Im positive the song means well, and man, can they sing, but I find it a little self-indulgent.
Let God determine who you are according to what he's done for you. Dont try to determine who you are according to traditions - or rather, the breaking of tradition.

I have some questions. I am a Cristian. Born and raised trinitarian, but go to a church that the leadership has oneness background. I believe that we can only be saved by one person and that is Jesus. Does the UPC believe that is His real name or is it His earthly name? And do you believe His name WAS Jesus or a translation from from Yeshua(something like that). Is it really necessary for all of us to argue over "the three are one" vs "one was all three"? it is His real name, of course translated to English. they would have called Him Yeshua in the Hebrew tongue 2000 years ago.
I think saying the "three are one" and "one was all three" are pretty much the same statement.
The point is that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all different titles for God. The concept of the trinity wasn't even around until 300 years after Jesus ascended into heaven.

I am glad for your depth of faith, but be careful with your choice of words. "proud to be pentcostal"? I'm not sure pride is the emotion you are reaching for there.
Also, you really are not "the same early church.." You may be trying to recreate the same experiences, but the differences are plentiful. Don't give up on trying though.

All the other types of religion have their own song so they decided to have one too. As long as they remember what the true puporse of a church is, who cares??!! People makin it seem like they sinin. Who are we to judge what people sing about? They just singin bout their religion just like any other artist would sing about their problems, life, god, or whatever. I feel as if the song is fine. If it isn't, the Lord will convict them. That's how I feel.....
