i've installed Ubuntu netbook edition 10.04 on my netbook and this fucking OS corrupted my Master Boot Record!!!

how did you get the desktop effects to work? I can see windows gliding away when you close them. Is that really compiz?

no it does not, you have to disable Compiz to be able to run it.

It is not just for netbooks, it can be installed on top of any Ubuntu or Linux Mint distribution.

Go to the main Ubunt netbook remix site and there are simple instructions to do the mods. It is just 4 additional packages.

Easier to use and shinier-looking than normal ubuntu. Although, granted, you can switch back to the normal interface very easily. ^^
