u are welcome, i started 2 months ago and had no idea what the heck was going on or how to fly a heli, it was horrible and needed much help and advice, i like to help people out just like they helped me out. find a good heli forum and all the information in the world will be at your disposal...
they are micro heli blade 400 low profile landing skids, u can get them for around 10 or 12 bucks. you got to drill new holes so they fit, i just clamped the old landing gear to them and drilled it that way so they line up.
i think one cause of the 90 degree suprize turn is from having fly bar paddles that are not set up right. mine was doing this turn when i first got it and my fly bar paddles were not adjusted correctly. pretty sure that is what did it.
@rollinolin333 that might be, i have never had to do that, i cant remember what way to turn it. but you can give it a try, just remember where it was set so you can turn it back if that was not the problem..
i know you said you fixed them, but i cant think of any thing else that wold cause it to pop up in the air and spin the nose around on take off.
any time you adjust the pot you got to power down and re power the heli for the change to take effect. sounds like a pain.
depends on how good yo are, when first learning to hover wind is not a good thing. i have hovered in 17mph wind and it is a challenge. even 7 or 8 mph winds can really give you a hard time. bigger helicopters handle much better in the wind that something like the SR.
it can slam you in to the ground pretty fast if you are not quick with your throttle control. a wind gust can either make you gain altitude or loose altitude quite drastically.
Excellent video, very useful
