  • Like his book on the CIA involvement in heroin trafficking, his research gives such a horrific picture of the people in charge of the US, it's hard for the average law-abiding US citizen to take it in. But the guy is a genuine academic - he never makes a statement unless he's got evidence for it.

  • CIA =

    CRIMINALS IN AMERICA

    CROOKS IN ACTION

    COCAINE IMPORT AGENCY

Scott: The 18th Chapter Of The Book Of Revelation

  • Watch the movie "taxi to the darkside".

  • Its scary to see that the U.S. has to resort to the methods of a totalitarian government, all established from the very top of government. What does this mean to our own civil liberties?

  • If there are supposed terrorists in guantanamo, then why are there countless accounts of prisoners being released with no charges, and no explanation. There are children ages 13-17 being held, with one even commiting suicide. These interrogation methods are the same methods that are used by the kgb.

  • "Watch" what you speak people.

  • uh they don't tell us this. And uh are you saying the american soldiers would rather die and that the ones that are killed are taken for experiment? Um then they would be caught later.

  • Wake up America! Don't let these mistakes become worse by denying and covering up injustice. We must expose these crimes and the perpetrators must be brought to justice! stop the violent people who destroy America with their wars for greed and power. Interrogate Bush and Cheney they are the real Terrorist

  • President George Bush is a Dictator also his republican followers.

  • The Patriots.......are taking over.......

  • The Constitution and Bill of Rights, the very foundation of the United States of America, is being dismanteled before the eyes of its citizens. Words cannot establish Justice or stop injustice and jury trials are now lost to us forever.

  • Baby Bush's resent veto of anti-waterboarding and the facts presented here, must bring into question," Isn't this the corse of action our forfathers drafted the Bill of Rights to pre-

    vent"?

  • hrhuhruhrhurugghghgh....

air passing through my nostrils as i pass into coma

  • my personal experience of being tortured gives my opinion authority over all others...

    rrrobotic hows that for critics?

  • i've been being tortured routinely for years and i fully support this behaviour...

  • if anyone of you would be picked up off the streets and taken to a secret prison without being told what you were charged

with and held indefinitely with no contact and tortured. Wouldn't you hope that someone anyone was on the outside speaking out against your imprisonment? If we say we love freedom then freedom should not include government secret prisons.

  • Very interesting analysis of the techniques used in Iraq. What amazed me most is that the photos don't look very brutal, but it is the long term effect and the knowledge of the combination of the techniques that makes a not extremely brutal looking photograph, like the man standing on the box, see as torture.

  • To get it right: Many of the photos shown in this video I do consider as torture even without the background knowledge given here. But my main point is that: I saw the photo of the "man on the box" then in our newspapers, but exactly with this photo a ingenuous viewer does not nearly see what is depicted there really -- it doesn't show the reality of what was happening in Abu Ghraib with this man there.

  • Let me put differently, if I got it wrong up there: I think that a ingenuous viewer can hardly understand what was happening there, because he is missing the knowledge of the effects that take effect. Donald Rumsfeld said: "I also have to stand long in my job." -- There one can see how this lack of knowledge was leveraged by Rumsfeld.

  • Good point peterschreyfogl. I felt that this video was "neutered" or toned down; especially the photos. I really appreciate Ms. Goodman & her show, but when I saw this my first reaction was that it seemed sanitized to me. I had recently seen the academy award nominated film "Taxi from the Dark Side" in which McCoy was interviewed and it showed much more graphic and disturbing photos. I figured: maybe this is the subtle influence of the big funders of Democracy Now.

  • Bravo, Prof. McCoy -- a true professor seeking truth even if it requires you to expose the CIA and torture and drug dealing. A meaningful vote requires truth, which make your work critical.

  • McCoy's work is awesome. Another book of his is "The Politics of Heroin CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade"

  • Who cares Iseulneck torture does not create terroists. Fuck these assholes they bombed our country. Torture the piss out of these people fucking terroists. What is wrong with you people. You think these people if they capture a US soldier they do not torture them. Fuck them I say torture

  • Most of the people in Guantanamo and NONE of the innocent civilians in Abu Ghraib bombed us. On the contrary, we bombed them. Torture does create more terrorists. Fascists like you believe the people we are crushing are threats instead of obvious victims. We smashed Hitler and eventually we'll smash all scum like you.

  • Like me! The people in Gitmo are terroists stupid. Abu Grahb I will give you some are not terroists. You fucking Liberals are amazing. You would rather have terroists come here and plant a nuke on us then defend if torturing people gets us info then I am all for it. Torture does not breed more terroists . Quit listening to these left wing idiots.

  • I'm not a liberal. I'm an anarchist. Liberals support capitalism. I don't. Torture does not reveal info unless it is done on a mass scale. On a small scale the weak will tell lies to stop being tortured and the strong will keep silent. The policy you support will insure that we eventually get nuked. Gitmo is not made exclusively of terrorists. If they were they would be charged, tried and jailed. Look at the individual cases. Abu Ghraib was gov. policy of Gitmo extended to Iraq.

  • No they are terroists or have something to do with terroists. No if they are innocent people in Gitmo let them go. We don't need a policy for these people to drop a nuke on us. These people never needed an excuse to destroy us. Do you think that these fucking people haven't tortured people. They have been doing longer than we have. They are not part of the Genevia Convention. I will do want ever it takes to protect this country if I were pres. and if that ment torture then so be it.

  • lol You're an idiot. Most Nazis are that's why you always lose.

  • I maybe a idiot, but I know this country would be protected. You liberals anarchist what the fuck you are. You would let this country get attacked. Listen if you don't like this country (if you are from here) then get the fuck out and live somwhere in western europe. FUCK I sick of you people who try to destroy this country.

  • Jersey298: "this country would be protected"

Osama and the Saudis flew our own planes into our highest level financial and military centers. You and those you support were either watching it happen or sitting in a 2nd grade class. Why did they attack us? Osama's first reason was because the US had military bases on "sacred" lands (Saudi Arabia: home of Mecca & Medina). Why did Cheney, Bush, Rumsfield fail to protect us? That's the question that needs answering.

  • SMDAHL-- IF you do your research it wasn't because we have military bases on holy land e have had them on there because the Sadui's aloowed us on there. It was becase when the Gulf War happened Saudui;s asked us for our help pushing Saddam out of Kuwait and Bin Ladin did not like that because he felt that it should have been fought with holy warrriors what ever the hell that is. Bush ould have never just stood by and let our country be attacked that way.

  • No it happened because the stakes are high in this game, America made saddam the tyrant he was then got rid of him, America trained and armed Osama Bin Laden, now he has turned on you, besides OB Laden is probably dead but your news agencies keep using his old footage to scare the pants of you lot who believe eberything as they are too thick to think for themselves, with Americas military might and technological advances your telling me they cant catch him if he is alive, yeah right

  • uh im sick of ppl like you who always say hey if you dont like this country leave!! how ignorant is that? how can there ever be a change? would you tell martin luther king jr. to leave the country because he didn't like how the african american were treated? people like you are destroying this country. if there is something wrong, no1 should just sit back n agree w/ everything.

  • Yeah and i will keep saying get the fuck out if you do not like this country, and that is not ignorant? Secondly Bringing up Martin Luther King is so far off the map. MArtin Luther King stood up for his own people and Americans. You and the rest of the fucking LIbs are sticking up for people who want to destroy this country and they attacked us that are not americans. You are and people like you are destroting this country not me?

  • jersey, you make no sense, ppl like you attacked him for his belief and many told them to go back to Africa. its a fact, y r u in denial? its ok if he stood for his belief and try to change what is wrong cuz u cant say nething against him. when u stand for ur belief ppl will say, hey y do u want change? leave this country if you dont like it. ppl like me, will try to make it better despite ppl like you that can only criticize other ppl .

  • I would never attack Dr. King for what he did so what do you mean "You People"? He fought for rights of people and good for him. It is one thing to stand for a belief but it is another to stand up for religious assholes who want to destroy this country, i respect anybody's beliefs but not when it comes to sticking up for people who clearly want all of us dead

  • jersey, Dr. king was religious.. Rev. King. n "white" ppl thought he wanted to destroy this country by him trying to give equal rights and to stop segregation.. define dead? like Bush sending soldiers to die?

  • jersey, interesting how Bush "pardoned" himself of ANY war crimes.. the first EVER to pardon oneself... seems like some1 knows what he did and covering his own ass and his friends.

  • How have the endless women and children who have died in the Near East because of a war being carried on by your favorite American dictator/president attacking YOU and denying YOU your liberties!!! What have these civilians done to Americans? Al-Qaeda does not equal Iraq. Al-Qaeda does not equal Afghanistan. Sober Americans can see this and are tired of fighting a rich mans war... tired of sacrificing these countries young men, be they black, white, or any background, to an empty cause.

  • in response to Jersey.

  • I guess if you were in charge of the interrigation and in your warped mind taking them out for a steak dinner and ice cream would make them want to talk. As long as they keep giving us information let the CIA do want they want. I am all for it. Because i have been tortured and i still endorse it

  • theres a reason for being good and evil. should cops act like criminals? if u say, yeah y not.. then who are we to judge some1 and say they are wrong, if we are wrong ourself? this is y, being good is harder but if we call ourself good, more moral than the enemy.. we shouldn't be like them.. end of story. i'm down for eating some steak dinner n ice cream..

  • Being a cop and acting like a criminal is a little different then a terroist, and wanting to drop a nuc on this country. Then let me ask you " How would handle interrogation of a terroists"?

  • terrorists, rebels, freedom fighter.. names change but they are still the same, when did the media and your own fear has caused you to see them differently? if we don't like how they play dirty, should we play dirty too? so my point is, if thats the case, should we be the judge of justice? Or is justice defined by who has the greater power?

  • Well you lot have tortued some of them literally to death, how much info have you gleaned? Have you managed to stop any terrorist activities post 9/11, Bali, Madrid, Mumbai, London, Australia, erm no so take your views and analyse them

  • So you say the people in Guantanamo are terrorists, Ok have all of them been tried fairly and convicted of being so, no, they are suspects, the US have rounded up whoever they could find and taken them there, wake up and see whats happening, no one wants to nuke the US you lot wont let anyone have a nuke apart from your friends (Israel, the UK), and as far as your concerned you need to stop playing into the hands of what the idiots controlling your country have been feeding you

  • You are right

  • Interesting shit !

  • Well if you think US government is honest then watch these videos search You Tube for (What I've Learned About U.S.Foreign Policy)

  • Interesting stuff.

  • I'm waiting for the day that masses free themselves from dormancy and actually do something about their terrorist government. Torture is one of the way the U.S. government creates terrorists.
