i just shot one in the head yesterday at 48 yards with a 40 pound recurve... no optics no sights..no cams...no bullshit.. droped like a fly... broadhead still stuck in the skull... very exciting dude...nice shot
A follow up shot in the lungs would have been nice to see as the deer could have gotten up ran off leaving him crippled. Next time less laughter and a cleaner kill.

It is not Suffering. Obviously you have never hunted in your life. This deer is not kicking because its still alive, when you kill animals their nerves twitch, and they kick and move. This deer was dead when it hit the ground.
So you know, that wasn't mere nerve twitching. Nerve twitching consists of muscle spams and not a coordinated leg kicking, like the deer was doing. The deer was trying to get up. A shot in the head won't always kill a deer instantly. I'm not against head shots, but I think that laughing at a dying animal is bad taste.

Next, you never really aim for the spine, now i know this deer turned on him but the vitals are always your best bet. usually when you hit the spine that is a mistake, just like what happent here. last the fact that deer run off after being hit in heart, lungs is part of it, and the animal would suffer less if it is bleeding out

Being a medical doctor I can tell you that what you are seeing is not just nerves. I've seen plenty of head-shot people come into our lvl 1 trauma bay. Their bodies are spasming like that. The few that survive with enough grey matter left to tell about it say that they remember it vividly and that it was by far the most painful thing they've experienced. That these people are laughing about it and enjoying it speaks only of their cuelty and disrespect for life. This is NOT humane hunting.
If, like they say, ignorance truly is bliss there sure are A LOT of happy folks on here. Firstly, the deer IS DEAD. What you are seeing is nerves. Secondly, hunting is an important part of population control, and without it deer would starve to death, die of disease, and be hit by cars. Hunting also pays for wildlife conservation to monitor the sport we love. Anyone who's against hunting, unless you're a vegan, you're a hypocrite. If you are a vegan, you're missing out on some great food.

The most interesting are the CLONIC CONVULSIONS - the rythmical movements or shakes of bigger muscles, when the brain is destroyed.
Especially the convulsions in hind legs.
Preferred are bigger muscular animals, such as cows, horses, deers, or kangaroos, where the muscles are easy to watch.

Look, i hear what you are saying it makes sense, but first of all as a fellow hunter, and im talking to all hunter we need to stop posting videos like this on youtube. Next, you never really aim for the spine, now i know this deer turned on him but the vitals are always your best bet. usually when you hit the spine that is a mistake, just like what happent here. last the fact that deer run off after being hit in heart, lungs is part of it, and the animal would suffer less if it is bleeding out

???? Never really aim for the spine??? Hit the spine by mistake???? I think you need to reevaluate. The spine may be narrow, but the surrounding nerves as well as the spine itself are not that hard at all to hit. I rifle hunt mostly. I have killed MANY doe with head, neck, and spine shots. Those are the tthree BEST shots you can make. Heart/ lung is a good hit, but they just don't go down right away.... Now with a headshot.....

Being a medical doctor I can tell you that what you are seeing is not just nerves. I've seen plenty of head-shot people come into our lvl 1 trauma bay. Their bodies are spasming like that. The few that survive with enough grey matter left to tell about it say that they remember it vividly and that it was by far the most painful thing they've experienced. That these people are laughing about it and enjoying it speaks only of their cuelty and disrespect for life. This is NOT humane hunting.

If, like they say, ignorance truly is bliss there sure are A LOT of happy folks on here. Firstly, the deer IS DEAD. What you are seeing is nerves. Secondly, hunting is an important part of population control, and without it deer would starve to death, die of disease, and be hit by cars. Hunting also pays for wildlife conservation to monitor the sport we love. Anyone who's against hunting, unless you're a vegan, you're a hypocrite. If you are a vegan, you're missing out on some great food.
