  • Paul Harvey passed away exactly three weeks after this broadcast.

Shop Talk: Paul Harvey, American broadcaster and icon. Remaining relevant and working and contributing until the end of his life: some 90 years young. He was married to his Angel for 68 years in his own tournament of roses. He will be missed ... never replaced. If you think of it, when you're out under a star blanketed sky, and you benefited from his broadcasts, look up. Give a wink. The twinkle you see will be a wink back.

  • AMERICANA RED,WHITE & BLUE True man of Heart. Thee SOUL of the Heat-land Farm Country,A.M. time & Hz. on the RADIO !

  • Im from Wales. Never heard of Paul Harvey until now. What a Good man , he is a HERO. Thankyou Mr Paul Harvey..

  • I still miss your news commentary-listened to you ever since I was a kid. Our family never missed those newscasts! Whenever I heard "And now for what it's worth", my radio got cranked up! Almost always worth a laugh! From the point of "Hello Americans, I'm Paul Harvey-stand by for news!" to "Paul Harvey, Good day"!, he had your attention riveted. Just sad my kids will only hear this great man on old recordings!

  • Miss Paul Harvey everyday... Sad, my boys will really never know what they have missed... Listened to Paul atleast 30 years of my life... My parents listened when I was a kid... So over 30 was more like it!!!

    Good Day!!!

  • I wonder if anyone out there could compile all the paul harvey braodcasts onto a CD? I realize some of it would be outdated, but I would love to hear those stories again!

  • I wonder if anyone out there could compile all the paul harvey braodcasts onto a CD? I realize some of it would be outdated, but I would love to hear those stories again!

  • I will miss Paul H rest in peace

  • Rest in heaven Paul Harvey; though your legend will love on forever!

  • R.I.P Mr. Harvey i listened to your show for years while growing up. You are beyond a legend in my eyes. will miss you so much bro. Hope your still telling "The Rest Of The Story" wherever you maybe now. I salute you great sir. this is adam signing off "good....day!"

  • WHAT HE IS DEAD? FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!

He gave news that I do not hear in Main stream media!

  • @visionimagify

You're a true jackass! This man did more in his lifetime than you'll ever accomplish, you piece of scum!

  • Just who's the commie bastard that doesn't like Paul Harvey?????

  • TO: The 1 person that disliked this, YOU SUCK!!!

  • Wow... I first heard Paul Harvey in 1992 on KDKA in Pittsburgh when I stated to go to work with my Dad in the family business. We always took lunch in time to hear him, about 11:40? Then the local news then Rush. I was 14 then... still listen to Rush... it was a shame when they (104.7 not KDKA) took Paul off to finish Beck's show. I would have rather heard Paul Harvey.

  • A true American radio Icon. He is missed

  • He doesn't sound a day over 40. What a broadcaster, what a guy

  • Where do they keep All the Paul Harvey Archives. I am looking for one in particular from the summer of 1975. Does anyone know.

  • i miss you paul harvey your news and voice i would always tune my radio at exactly 12pm just to listen to your storie or news you make them intersted and funny also your voice was one of a kind but, what im gonna miss the most is at the end of the news "this is paul harvey.. goooood day!!!! R.I.P.

  • WTH? It sounds like several segments are cut, at 1:22 and 1:29

  • @CatsLairArchives : I think what you are hearing is caused by the fact that Paul didn't do his "commercials" live they were recorded and then played during the show. He did this for 2 reasons, first it gave him a break in the newscast, second he want to make sure that he didn't stumble over the words as can happen when doing it live, he made sure his ad people got the best he could give them. Anyways, I think that's what you're hearing there ... could be wrong though

  • @JediDude38 It is NOT commercial I'm talking about. at both 1:22 and 1:29 he is saying something.

    1:22 "Well, americans sobe-up a little tardily."

    1:29 "Consumers spent-straight month"

  • @CatsLairArchives : I don't hear anything at 1:22 but there is a definite audio glitch at 1:29. Quite honestly I used to hear things like that in his new casts all the time when I used to listen to him during the morning milking but that was on AM radio, tells you how ancient I am, shouldn't be a problem with this though. Probably something only the poster of the clip would know. I'll think twice next time before offering my 2 cents on something since it's obviously useless to you.

  • I miss him and his irreplacable stories!

  • I remember listening him when I was in

3rd during lunch time. I will miss he saying "Paul Harvey.....Good day" at the end of his stories

  • I was in radio and enjoyed every time he came on the air. His style was so real.I learned much from you Paul. You are missed. A real Radioland Legend.

  • Friends with J. Edgar Hoover???? Not a good reflection if true. Hoover was an evil cruel devil independent of his sexual proclivities.

  • R.I.P Paul, and if it's possible, keep telling your stories only the way you could, wherever you are now!

  • Paul Harvey made delivering newspapers in he early morning less miserable...listening to him made me feel like there was still good people out there. He was radio, he was kindness, he was Paul Harvey...We miss you.

  • I used to listen to him every afternoon. He was fantastic and will be missed greatly. Good day, Mr. Harvey.

  • Paul harvey is radio. Rip

  • I remember listening to him everyday since I was 6 when I rode the bus to school. I looked forward to hearing his broadcasts for 12 years. I am 17 almost 18. This almost brought me to tears, I couldn't finish it. R.I.P Mr. Harvey.

  • Wow!! Not much gets by you, does it?

  • Goodbye Mr. Harvey. I'm going to miss you.

  • my Grandpa listened to him for my whole life, and what he says, before I was born, and I always remember "Hello, this is Paul Harvey, stand by for News!!"

  • dang he was pretty smart wasnt he..i miss him tooo......hes like the only one that can make you feel at home no matter where you traveled.....

  • I miss his Good Day! so much. I remember the Friday before he passed away I was listening to his show with guest host Gill Gross (I think) and I was wondering to myself "when is Paul Harvey coming back??" and then he passed away the next day. I was so sad. Anyway, there is no one like Mr. Harvey. Good Day!

  • It took me 6 months to find out why I didn't hear Paul Harvey anymore. I thought it was because I moved away from home. No, he passed away, God rest his soul, I am sure God has already chosen another to take his place. It just isn't his time to broadcast yet.

  • I'm so totally gonna miss Paul Harvey. Grew up listening to him both at home and my grandparents. He was a part of everyday life. Its nice to hear his last broadcast.

  • When I was younger, I remember coming home early from summer camp almost every day, and listening to Paul Harvey on WBZ 1030AM on weekdays. Him and Walter Cronkite are the two people that inspired me to go into communications, and I will be starting in college radio this year.

RIP Paul Harvey (1918-2009). And know we know...the rest of the story.

  • I enjoyed Paul Harvey for many years. I would sit by the radio with my mother and listen intently to all the wonderful "The Rest of the Story", news and funny facts. I was reminded of the days before Television. A simple time when news, entertainment and music was found on the radio. Thank you Mr. Harvey for giving me a taste of days gone by. Rest In Peace.

  • Thank-you God for good guys like Mr. Harvey. Just shows you how bleeped up those fucks the Clintons and their like really are. Yes, Thank-you for Mr. Harvey, he was good to listen to on the farm.

  • Man...ads like Liberty Medical's always peeved me. As I would listen to Paul's show, driving the interstates each summer to visit my grandmother some distance away, it always struck me how the insertion of recorded commercials destroyed the rhythm of Paul's show.

Paul was the master - if you let him, he could advertise your product as well as any marketing firm you could hire, and integrate it seamlessly into the flow of news and trivia, so it would be heard, not ignored by ad-weary listeners

  • We listened to Paul Harvey every Wed. afternoon, for years in my JH Social Studies classes. The kids were really into the way he spoke. Some of my kids actually cried the next day after his death. Maybe sometimes, he was a little too conservative, but I look at it this way; how can you be too conservative for a school? I'm conservative and I never found him to be offensive in any way, I just sometimes had a slight difference of opinion. God-Bless, RIP, Mr. Harvey---YSA

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Always enjoyed his broadcasts during my lunch break at work. He was able to inform and entertain like no one else. It was somehow comforting to hear his distinctive voice and stories and no matter how my day was going he always left me in good cheer. A great American who will always be remembered for all the happiness he brought to his listeners. God bless!

  • I have enjoyed Paul Harvey for 40+ years. He has enriched my life and given me view points that the main stream media couldn't or wouldn't see. I shed a tear when I heard he had passed. He will be missed.

  • A legacy is lost. You were a special man and I look forward to your reports on the other side.

  • Paul was one of the great people of this planet - may he rest in peace. Sorry for the low-lifes that are always available to show their ignorance.

  • I'm glad your opinion doesn't matter much...

  • decent people pay homage to the dead...

obviously, CDIMMM , you are not a decent person, just like your hateful ilk, so it's understandable. pathetic

  • yes to understanding and definitely no to hate. we already have so much hate around and life's too short. maaypa maglana na lang kaag puto sainyo cdimmm. suuya lang ka. hinuon ayo ayo diha. good day to you.

  • You DO realize this is a PAUL HARVEY radio broascast, correct? Mr. Harvey was used for family entertainment, not for entertaining nutcases like yourself. He is a great, great figure in American entertainment.

He advertises lip balm for god sakes! You think he's going to talk about some idiotic conspiracy theory? That's ridiculous.

PS-The Titanic DID in fact hit an ice berg. It wasn't the government. Just so you don't go thinking it was.

  • You're just another anonymous scrawny little conspiracy theorist, bad mouthing paul harvey....step up to pure muscle, wussy boy

  • I grew up listening to Paul on the radio, he will be sorely missed! He may be gone, but his legacy will live forever! Rest in peace, my friend... Good Day... Thx for posting...
