I use this iron the create a faux set of vintage finger waves in my short hair. I WISH they would design an iron that more exactly mimics the pattern and movement of finger waves. With this one, you still need to fuss with the hair afterwards to get it to look right because fingerwaves move in the opposite direction.

Of course it works! Ive got the thing and it definatly works exactly the way shown. Just be sure to use thermal spray heat protectant when using any heat styling tool.
