  • Great little (compact) bike. Enough grunt to be fun, great for back road bombing, low and narrow for us wee folk (5'2'"), and with the rubber mounted engine and an oil tank that doesn't cook your leg anymore, it's an all around pleasure to ride. Not sure what all the fuss is about between brands and everything else folks are trying to tie into it. Stop using the keyboard toughguy crap and get out and ride. "Actual" reality vs "virtual" reality. Cheers.

  • @AkaGully hahah your a loser, you think gay people care about what some kid who thinks harleys are stupid has to say? and i guarantee you dont have a harley. Your just some kid with too much time on his hands and overly liberal parents, or an adult loser

  • To all the folks saying fag, or mid life crisis, here it is, just my theory. Fucking jealousy! these bikes are bought by people of a certain demographic, the hard working tax paying guy, who after raising a family, putting in count less hours at his chosen skill, dares, just once, to have a treat. You obese inbreeds hiding behind your key boards, lousing of the the benefit system these guys have made possible for you, then post your worthless crap on here, fuck all you haters :)

  • Cool looking Sporty; I would prefer the forward foot controls, though.

  • I bought the all-black nightster off the showroom floor in fall 2009. Put 12" shocks on it. Took it cross-country from east to west coast and back in spring 2010. Loaded with 80lbs of gear plus my 220lbs, she didn't make a peep and got 45-47mpg average. Zero mechanical problems. I will never get rid of this bike if I can help it...

Around town and in the twisties, she is competent and solid.

  • @YogiPaolo Are those 12" progressive shocks? if so, how much of an improvement did you get? Also, how do you deal with all that wind? I took a four hour trip a couple weekends ago and my neck and back are still in pain. I'm thinking of putting on drag bars just so I have more of a lean to duck under that sucker.

  • @angelus6fifty The 12" shocks put the "Sport" back in sportster. I'm able to corner pretty well and can keep up with my buddy on his Thruxton in the twisties. Do you wear a half-helmet? I found that the up-force is substantially greater with my half helmet on. Even with the full-face helmet, I do find a bit of stress on my neck. I'm careful to stretch my neck at gas stops and do some forward bends also. That really helps. Just took big trip and I'm now looking at 1/4 fairings...

  • @YogiPaolo Right on man. I now have a shoei full face and it is much easier to keep the head steady. Thanks for the input on the 12" shocks. That'll be next for sure.

  • psycho music oO

  • Some people just don't get the concept that not everybody wants a crotchrocket.

  • @thebipolarpolarbear

NJET! The only Sportsters "for girls" are the Hugger and the Superlow.

The Nightster is definitely manly: 1200 engine, dark finitures, competition-oriented stuff here and there...

The sportster family altogether was born for racing guys, and pretty much still is. Just look at the Iron, the Roadster, the XR subfamily... The only woman I'd see on one of these would be a Valkyrie.

  • @thebipolarpolarbear

    >sportster

    >girl's bike

    excuse me, what?

  • Lets see. Harley. 5 layers of chrome. On steel, not plastic. If it's not chrome, its hand polished stainless steel. Hand finished tank. 2-5mm of clearcoat. Everything is rebuildable right down to the rubber in the footpegs. Starting to see a pattern? Maybe a reason for the price? The sportster is the original Harley from the 50's when war vets started to modify their wartime motorcycles.. It's a smaller frame, but that doesn't make it a chicks bike. Just a bike chicks can ride.

  • They charge a lot for these in Europe! They are $8000 in Michigan. You can't help but love the minimalism of this bike.

  • They cut Buell and what are we left with? The United States of America does not manufacture a competitive sport bike. Just say that a couple times to yourself. I hope Erik has success with the 1125, but the XB was the real gem.

  • Anybody ever ridden both a Nightster and an Iron 883? Are the performance differences like night and day?

  • @MrJtr1888 Yeah, I've ridden both. The Iron 883 is par for the course for an almost 900cc bike. It felt faster than my Suzuki 800 and that bike was quick for its size. The 1200cc nightster is not a huge bump in performance. The thing I noticed was more torque. So I guess the low end grunt felt like you could have a passenger and not notice. where as you would with the 883. Top end performance I didn't fee the difference though. they both run out of steam when revved high.

  • @thecowside Good to know. Thank you. I need to decide soon.

  • @MrJtr1888 No prob. Whether its your first bike or not, if you can pay up, Get the 1200 with the nightster. Bigger engine is almost always better. Just be careful with it if you are a beginning rider. Stay safe and have fun.

  • Hey fellas, I'm about 1.63 cm short. Will getting this bike prove to be the dumbest idea ever for a short guy like me?

  • @disgraced101 Maybe better to wait until you reach your full height.... otherwise look into the Harley 883 Low

  • Hey fellas, I'm about 1.63 cm short. Will getting this bike prove to be the dumbest idea ever for a short guy like me?

  • Whoever says a Sportster (or Nightster in this case) is not a real bike has never tried it out. From my point of view, the Nightster is probably even more a classic bike than the other big twin nodels. Some modifications made, the Nightster can be very sportive, too.

  • Title Correction'

    Bike test Hardley Davidson Fagster

  • the folks complaining (and insulting HD-owners)on a harley sportster, are likely Viagra 500 Riders with lots of "experience" and a severe lack of guts&balls to simply get a HD.

  • i would rather push a fucking 82 broken down rat Harley then Ride a Goldwing loaded>There a few thing in Life you DON'T skimp on.Especialy if you are American.Show some pride out there.

  • song from 0:47?

  • I mean the XR1200 is alright but it just PISSES me off how they didn't use one of Buels high performance racing engines with liquid cooling (more power than aircooled engines)

  • Thats harley's Achilles heel is their front brakes

  • FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGS

  • @ShadowedWolfPuppy " the Forty-Eight is around the $10,000 range," Shit 10k?

You can get a damn Interceptor or CBR600RR for just a little more than that. Which gives you all these as extra features.

    Combined ABS (C-ABS) system

    Electronic Steering Damper.

Inline four cylinder or V4 with V-TEC engine with liquid cooling

Moto GP inspired suspension or single swingarm (on the Interceptor)

Lightweight all aluminum frame and aerodynamically designed body

You tell me which is a better deal?

  • @EpiDemic117 Those two bikes are not comparable... thats like comparing a brand new 3 series to a 55 Chevy... pure opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • So, which is beter the Nightster or the Forty-Eight?

  • its a nice bike but harleys are a bit overated, tha jap bikes have a bit more bang for the buck .im in lust with the yammie v-max

  • The biggest killer of motorcyclists are oblivious car drivers. The fact is that louder pipes save lives. I will take someone being pissed off at me on my Harley any day over being pot hole filler to that same person not hearing or seeing me.

  • ok some harley's are loud, no seems to say anything when a car pulls up to a traffic lights or cruises through a neighbourhood with music louder than a nightclub clearly belting out lyrics like F**k the police, shoot that B***h in the face ect ect!

  • Harley Davidson and Other Motorcycles are all motorcycles Everyone who can ride them ride them enjoy them

    Thank you

  • Fag!

  • I normally don't like Harley, too big and bulky, but this one is awesome!!!

  • AMEN Potato

  • too much talking, let the bike speak!

  • @Jeroeen145

you fucking faggot! Let the bike drive, what it was made for!

  • After a short view at your page,I guess u are a weedsmokin kid with no license to drive anything anything else then the stairway to heaven. First get a life, then get a license to drive a motorcykle, then try a Harley. If after that u dont like it, then i will hear ya, but then based on facts and not by youngster BS! Have a nice day ;o)

  • By the way, I just posted a video yesterday. If you check out my channel or search me the video is "2008 Harley-davidson nightster xl1200n"

  • @SVslida

Yeah I know what you mean! I have a 95 cbr600 which I love beatin the piss out of but the Harley, well it just has something about it. It's got that Harley torque which I can't get enough of, and where the sport bike lacks very much. I'll check out your vids too, I really like the SV's.

  • Nightsters are super cool, the old peanut tanks are a must. The 1200 cc engine is probably the best engine harley has ever made.

  • The Nightster absolutely rules. I have one, with cycle shacks and a forcewinder. It really pushes!

  • I love MotorsTV reviews.

  • Down bike, I used to think the rear was too low but after seeing and using one first hand, it's an amazing ride, harleys rule!!!

  • harleys are for fags ? say that to the next guy you see on a harley, and he might fuck u in your arse, but most likely he isnt gay. and if he is gay? what are you some sort of gaybasher? I dont know what world u live in , but where im from its worse to be a gay hater, than it is to be gay, so keep hating on harleys while you ride in your mommas car, or your family minivan, or your kia......... im getting a nightster or big, that shit is bad ass.

  • @AkaGully

Fag? Nothing to do with being gay? Wtf? Harleys are fags! and yes I do yell out "fag!" each time they considerably drive by with their super loud annoying motors! I'm not gay hater or homophobe! But still harleys are fucking fags! Sure they would come and beat me up with their so tough attitude of riding a bike and making as much loud as possible top catch attention thinking they're all cool or what not, that's what fags are! Harleys are fags! and it's true...

  • @LinkBulletBill u need to chill out mate u got some serious issues lol, y do u feel the need to go around insulting ppl to make yourself feel better u ppl annoy me get over yourself and grow up.

  • @TheRhomper

It's not an insult, its you fags who take it as an insult! Fags... The only ones who can't except their title... well there's black ppl who don't want white ppl to say the n word, but still you fags are new, support and be faggish [happy] about it! Harley Davidson bikers didn't went through hundreds of years in slavery, you guys are new! Accept being a fag if you ride a Harley Davidson! Go fagging around! But not in neighborhoods... Thats being to faggy!

  • @LinkBulletBill hahaha have a listen to yourself u say harleys are for fags and then say its not an insult, so y say it u obviously must find fags offensive other wise you wouldnt use the term to explain something u dont like, u have the mentality of a tic tac. I dont ride a harley i ride motocross bikes but thats not the point i like to ride in general i dont do it to annoy ppl and if someone does something i dont like for a hobbie or enjoyment i dont feel the need to judge them

  • @TheRhomper

fags r ppl who annoy ppl Why else call them fags?

When you hear an inconsiderate biker riding through neighborhood with the only goal of making noise and turn heads, what do you think of that person: fag! When you're driving your car and red light stops then you hear this biker drives beside and presses on the pedal just to make sound: fucking fag! thinking they're all so cool, making turn heads thinking that they're cool because of that. If you don't annoy ppl, you're not a fag.

  • Comment removed

  • @LinkBulletBill your whole argument is based around the jokes on a south park episode you ignorant piece of trash. people have a right to do what they want and not be slandered and persecuted by you. I'm not defending anyone here I'm just annoyed by people like you who think that we all need to make you happy. make yourself happy and if there's something in the area that makes you unhappy learn to deal with it or leave. other people dont need to change or do things just to suit you

  • @TheCas94

  • @LinkBulletBill who cares wat other ppl like doing for fun if u like to sit and knit sweaters i dont care im not gonna yell out fag as i ride pass coz its none of my business and i dont need everyone else to know that i think ur a fag becoz u knit sweaters

  • @TheRhomper

Look you're having a good time, then a bunch of Harley riders come tweaked their bike just be louder! Making unnecessary loudness!! Why? Just so they could make people turn their heads thinking they're cool, but they are still fags nevertheless! Harley riders have to accept they're fags! They deserve being called one... Knit sweaters? That's nothing to do with being a fag! A Fag is an inconsiderate person who makes unnecessary actions, mostly associated with Harley riders...

  • @LinkBulletBill actually a fag is a gay man or a cigarette... sorry you have it all wrong. and what are you doing looking at harley videos just to bash people. go do something worth your time.

  • @LosingKeys1

You know when you say a word it doesn't mean you're actually saying it with its meaning that is in a dictionary. When I say fag, I never mean it as homosexual or against homosexuality. Fag has many meanings and changed through time too, now when we say fag it doesn't mean homosexual, it's time to change the meaning of fag, like meaning: An inconsiderate person... Associated with Harley Davidson Bike riders... I'm not bashing people, just saying Harley are fags and need to accept it.

  • @LinkBulletBill we Harley riders have loud pipes not to look cool but so we do not get ran over! If the pipes are not loud people would change lanes and cross roads which will cause more rider deaths! We ride for the freedom, not to be cool or notice. Ask a rider the purpose for loud pipes they will tell u the same. So before you post anything else find out all your facts so that you do not sound like an idiot!

  • @rescueapet1

    pfffff!

So you have to be loud enough so a person that is 5 miles away can hear you gently to give him warning to not end up in a accident.

The point is harleys are way too loud! and those goofs who rig them just to sound louder, seriously!

A good driver will not end up in an accident, bikes don't make much sound do they?

And hell I ride in traffic a lot of times when I was younger and no idiot decided to change lanes without looking!

No fucking offense to BLIND drivers!

    fuckin fag

  • @TheRhomper

People took Harley bikes and used them to make loud sounds thinking they're cool the louder they are! Well not! IT is meant only for transportation! If they think it's fun to drive so fucking loud through a neighborhood pissing them off, well fuck them! They're fags!

  • @LinkBulletBill fair enough if thats what there like then i agree but ive found most harley or cruiser riders buy them for comfort and u still get these idiots with crotch rockets who make em louder and drive at 300km/h through small towns if u like speed go to the country or track nobody cares how good u are and nobody knows who u r anyway its fukin pointless kill some little kid and your the scum of the earth and everyone knows it.

  • @TheRhomper

thank you, but still the gang of Harley riders! That every red stop! Vrrooom! Vrrrrooom!!! Vroom! Vroom! faggy I find... Acting in such a balderdash of a fucking way! it pisses me off... maybe you don't have a lot of Harley riders that do that where you live, but where I live, fucking shit! Every fucking day! so yeah that's it... lol :P

btw you do know where the fag/harley riders thing came from? right?

  • @AkaGully I have a nightster with the orange and black paint job! It really is so nice to ride. Very stable. Should really look into it!

  • @AkaGully wicked response man!

  • @AkaGully I want whoever said Harleys are for fags to say that to some hells angel and get seriously fucked up

  • @danhodg1 "say that to some hells angel and get seriously fucked up"

You could say it to Sonny barger and he wouldn't give a shit, Hell He might even agree since he fucking HATES harleys. As once quoted from him he said if he wasn't an Angel, he'd have Either a BMW or a Honda as preference. He said he could buy a ST 1100 and that motherfucker could do 110MPH out of the FACTORY all day long. Of course this was a while back. Now they make ST 1300's.

  • @danhodg1 I honestly don't hate harley nor do I have a problem with them. It's just their User base that REALLY pisses me off, it's to Cultist to me and the whole attitude EITHER BUY A HARLEY OR DIE just doesn't cut it in the modern world, Perhaps when I run into my mid life crysis I might just consider a sportster but until then I'll stick with a street bike or something that handles more properly.

  • @EpiDemic117 My comment wasnt really about the bikes, im not a die hard fan of harley, I was merely stating that few if any of the people who write "harleys are for fags" would say that to someone's face, they would prefer to hide behind their keyboards on youtube. Same as people who say "karate is for fags" or "jiu jitsu is for fags" they would never say that to someones face. I agree the buy a harley or die attitude is wrong but so is assuming they are only for people having a mid life crisis

  • @AkaGully If fags get harleys, then consider me out of the closet haha

  • @Garanon5 ahahaha same here !

  • @AkaGully you are an idiot!

  • what the fuck? people should not be talking shit about another motorcycle brand. if you don't like them then GROW THE FUCK UP and deal with it. Just for the record i do not own a Harley or plan on owning a Harley.

  • ummmm.... i bought this bike and it's fucking amazing...yeh that southpark episode was funny and all that shit...but uh...let me tell you guys goin w/ that joke a secret...harley's get you girls...ask anyone that owns one..so you guys just keep having fun talking your stuff and ill have fun taking ur girl.....gracias

  • what a shame you need a fag ride to get a girl

  • he did not say anything nice about the bike, he avoided saying anything bad. compared to the European counterpart, its a piece of junk. so who is the only people who would buy a bike like this, a FAG!

  • So obviously, you'r sittin' on youtube watchin' Fag-movies ?

  • sommer-what do you care, your watching them too. so your no better than me.

  • My opinion is'nt the same as yours. According to me, this is no fag bike. Thats your opinoin!

  • sommer-this bike is a 1970's design, way behind the european bikes of similar designs. doesn't handle well, to much vibration. not enough horse power. a buell is a lot better value or a ducati a lot better bike all the way around. because it has a HD tag on it they want at least $3000 more for it than it is worth. now if you keep the baffles in the soft tail is not a fag bike. the sportsters need a complete redesign, its a poor excuse for a sporting bike. and that is the market it is aimed at.

  • 70 ponies on a sporty is plenty. what are you smokin? ducati and harley should not be put in the same class. harley shoots for nostalgia. and they win. buell is gone for a reason. they lost money on it. i wouldnt mind a buell but theres no way ill think of a buell in the same cc class as a sporty 1200. and i would gladly choose a different sport bike for the cost of the buell. harley is great. people love that vibration. and some people dont want to only shift their weight an inch to do a u turn

  • 70 ponies? have you rode one? i don't care what the book says. i place them at just under 60 hp. and if you knew your history the sporty was made to compete with the new eruopean designs. the only harleys that i have a problem with is the sporty. it's like buying a camaro it's for want a bes that can't afford the corvette.

  • @onemarktwoyou

You sir, are an idiot. I have an 08 Nightster. Just got off the dyno, 81.12 horsepower and 79 lbs/ft torque. Its a low-mid 12 second bike. And your analogy was retarded. Because the corvette is the quickest and most agile Chevy, just like the sportster is the quickest and most agile Harley. So, maybe before you say 'if you knew your history' you should do a little research yourself. The Nightster is a kickass bike just, and so are the rest of the sportsters!

  • drag racer- then, why at the track they don't seem to break 13.5 secs. in stock form? but, the camero comment was off. i should have stated it with a ford tempo to a Lincoln continental. i really don't have a complaint with the sportys motor. it's the whole package that i don't like. the best factory bike that i heard of was just over 70hp and 80 ft/lbs.. and i find most dynos are complete lies. weight of the bike and 1/4 time you can calculate applied HP.

  • @onemarktwoyou

The people making those 13.5 second passes probably arent worlds best racers. You have to be pretty skilled to get a good launch out of a bike and run a decent time. And i've seen a lot of peoples 1/4 mile vids on here and a lot of the time they dont drive them like they mean it. I think most of the people are too 'afraid' of revving the bike too high. I've seen multiple videos of people draggin them and shifting too early. anyway, no hard feelins :)

  • drag- i realized i needed to correct a statement. it's time and weight that is needed to calculate applied H.P.. and if you see dynos that H.P. and torque don't meet at 5,280 rpm's. there's something wrong. every dyno run this should a cure. by definition of h.p. it must! it's mathematical. take your bike to the track and run it, then give me the weight of YOU and the BIKE. and then i can tell you what your h.p. to the back wheel is.

  • @dragracer464 To be honest - I'm a big fan of this bike, and now the Harley 48. Sat on one today. I'm riding a heavily modded SV650 (check my vids) and I"m considering getting rid of it to get one of these. As much as I love the speed of the sportbike - I find it's always a bit of a frantic ride - and they are tough to ride slow...at least for me lol.

  • fags !!

  • FAAGGS

  • the harleys and the fags thing is from a south park episode right?

  • @psolarhidi

Yeah, the south park kids where sick of the overly loud harleys.

    Who here is Bike-curious?

  • Hmm funny.. people writing "Harley Davidson Bike Riders ARE! FAGS! "

If you hate Harley that much, why are you stupid fucks watching at Harley vids? it's just.. retarded.

  • its from southpark u retard

  • Some bikurious people here i see xD.

  • fags!!!!!!!!!

  • Harley Davidson Bike Riders ARE!

    FAGS!

    FAGS!

  • im in NJ, so it might be diff than illinois

  • how old do you have to be to get a heavy bike liscense?

  • Depends on where you live. I got my motorcycle license at the age of 16. I ride an 09 1200 Sportster Low.

  • usually 18, atleast thats how it is in illionis........

  • what i dont understand is why the xl 1200 r has sand cast primary cover and charge you more for a xr paint job.

  • You have to ride this bike to understand it. It could very well be the best Harley yet.

  • Speak for yourself!

  • I always find the sporsters to be "cheap" looking compared to a proper Harley, better in all black, with slash cut stright through pipes and lots of S&S toys, also bin the fuel inj ,big carb, pancake filter and some more exciting cams and it might be getting somewhere, upside down forks and big twin disks, maybe a blade front end to improve things, black three spoke alloys aswell.Bin the indicators too and fit a bigger headlight,a 60's triumph one would be nice with the clock/switches in it.much better

  • lol

  • It's more than a little creepy seeing people that don't/can't own HD bikes going through the effort to look up HD bike clips so they can leave negative comments.

    Are they lonely?

  • You make a good point! I like all Harleys.

  • @Potato0verlord must be! Really angers me regarding the loud pipes! Do they really think that it is just to look cool? Really? How about to stay safe as all the dumbasses in cages who do not pay attention to us? I love my bike and love to ride! So, to all my friends keep the rubber side down and stay safe!

  • Comment removed

  • harleys are nice yes but anyone who owns one knows they take more more upkeep then say a honda or yamaha. would l like a harley yes. is it worth it in the long run.... not really, its more to maintain and not as high quality.

  • There has been a lot of report of problems with the sportster gearboxes failing,I hope they have sorted this by now and improved the mediocre performance,

  • how is it more to maintain? i've had my sportster for 12 years and the only problem i had was a leaky primary and a new ignition module which were easily fixed myself very cheaply! good luck fixing your Honda yourself when all those hoses and jets need to be replaced.

  • Every body who talks bad about harley is bacause they don´t have one in a garage.

  • Everybodi who ates Harley Davidson is because they can´t buy it . ji ji ji ji

  • IT"ll be easy to keep clean with all that black on it!!

  • actually, black shows the dirt worse than some. rain spotting, dirt. u name it, it shows it off. im constantly cleaning my black bike.

  • not rock guards....fork boots, my 1969 xlch has them.

  • it only has 70bhp??

  • Saw this at the gas station, had to do a double take, beautiful bike, I think I must buy it

  • I made a big mistake... when i was a senior in high school as soon as i turned 18 i bought a gsx-r600 and i should have got a harley! i sold it since then and the nightster is looking nice

  • Hi, i'm in high school too. Just wondering, what affordable bike in the market would you recommend?

  • Let me give my little lecture first because prior to having a bike(when I was 18, I'm 21 now) I knew of people who died but after having seen someone die on a street bike, I'm a bit hypocritical with newcomers. I grew up riding dirt bikes so I had almost ten years of experience on something fast and two wheels before I got on the road.. So definitely go to driving school if you don't have experience! And I can not stress that enough. The best low budget starter bike is the Honda Rebel CMX250.

  • Moreover, you have to watch out for other drivers on the road like there is no tomorrow, literally.

  • I hear 10 speeds are cheap.

  • i like harley its aan american icon. but lets face it not every american can fork out that much cash for a bike. this bike is sweet and not too expensive but still too much for my poor ass.

  • Mini Ape Handlebars on it and it ROCKS

  • damn you guys are good. reall good

  • You either ride a harley or you settled for something else.

  • Or...you buy a bike that better suits your needs?

  • nope harleys gottem all

  • you mean settled for something less.

  • Amen.

  • you either ride harley or you fail at life lol

  • CounterRev, I wouldnt own a Buell either, Hardly's attempt at a sport-bike, because they are still junk.

  • 10, 000 euros?! Crickey.

  • It's 9'899 dollars, should be more euros! :(

  • if its 9899 dollars that mean its 6400 euros

  • i have a 2002 night train and i also have a 2008 hayabusa and i gotta tell you, anything over 2-3 hours i take the hayabusa, u just dont get any wind on the busa on the highway, ok let me rephrase, if im going to b doing any extended freeway riding its gonna be on the busa, but i LOVE both bikes :)

  • NoSack, thank you. Im glad you appreciate my input.

  • i must say this bike handles really well

  • Harleys are great,A harley can't be replaced by a Sport bike or any other even hayabusa although hayabusa will toppen in speed but comfort harley.

  • you have truely shown your intelligence

  • What do you think about the Buell 1125CR? 146 hp, 82 ft lbs torque, and American made.

  • Actually that junk does cost less than $10k USD.

  • You are pathetic...

  • I researched and rode Harleys before choosing the Nightster & here is why: The bike is great for short trips and cruising in the city...which is what I like to do. It's nimble and quick. The mid mount controls give me great control of the bike in turns and allow me to rise out of the saddle over speed bumps and pot holes. Different Harleys serve different purposes...i.e. I wouldn't ride the Nightster cross country, but for me, it's 100 roller coasters rolled into 562 lbs. of metal-fun!

  • I would say that FUN is the biggest factor of the bike. Every time I take her out I feel like I'm having a quickie with my mistress. Im lycky where I live, Frenchtown NJ. By the Deleware river, that means I got all these mountain switchback-curvy roads. It brings the bike to life

  • Comment removed

  • I love my Sportster, and think it the most fun bike Harley makes. I hear so much BS talked about the sporty, that its a girls bike etc. Its really a fun bike, and I would compare it to owning a 70's muscle car. The fact that the engine is hard mounted to my frame (Ironhead) is really fun, you feel the power on tap everytime you pull the throtle. I wish Harley would expand the Sporty line with more high performance, light and agile machines.

  • I love sporty's and what they represent. As a matter of fact I use to own one years ago. The only thing that keeps me from wanting another one is the fact that they're so damn small. I'm not really a big guy. 6' tall 191 pounds but me on a sporty now would look like a hippo fu*%ing a football. Love that 1200cc motor but the bike itself is to small for me..... :-(

  • I'm 6'-2" and 210 pounds. I put forward extended controls on my 1200C and it feels great! I can show you pics of the bike if you like.

  • can you please send me a picture of you riding the bike, I want to buy Iron 883 and everybody tell me that is to small bike for me, I am also 6'- 2''
