oh wow, the difference is an obvious yet awesome difference, what did you change if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking of getting this mic, it would awesome to have a mic of that quality AFTER the editing so I don't have to do the technical work. ^_^ But I want to know anywho, just in case it's something I can learn how to do.
Do you have usb 3.0 or 2.0 on your computer? btw I'm trying to get my comp to recognize my blue yeti, i bought the pro model and I can't seem to connect it to my comp it keeps saying it failed to install properly when i plugged it in. Also when i plug my headphones into the mic itself and turn up the volume i can hear myself. what am i doing wrong? please recommend me a solution.
Do you have any tutorials on how to adjust the sound with the microphone in garage band? I'm trying very hard but my vocals just don't sound quite right.
@TashaDLRolle I Honestly don't know. It is the same stand and boom I use for all of my professional mics, some of which are pretty heavy. It is nothing special.
What kind of changes did you do in garageband that improved the sound so much? Maybe posting those changes in the information section would be helpful. Thanks.
What's the difference between the Yeti & Yeti Pro, as far as quality of recording, since I'll be using either of them in USB mostly. I heard something about 192kbps, but I think they're the same. I'm just trying to see if the extra $150 is justifiable. I'm wanting to go pro, I just need to know the difference..
@Dakkiller1 Absolutely, when configured/setup right it will perform for such uses. Sound booth , placement and levels. Along with the right engineering. Just as most quality mics will.
@Toyeboy89 Hi, I run FL studio 9 under Windows 7 64-bit and this mic works like a charm without any driver required! The only thing you have to note is that this mic has its own soundcard built-in so your music software needs to support 2 sound cards in order to record both your voice and some instruments (I highly recommend you to use ASIO4ALL for the sound driver though). From the ASIO control panel you can activate both of your soundcards.
@Matt3683683 It's good for both as long as you change the mic settings (you can choose from Stereo, Cardioid, OMNI and bidirectional). In the user manual that comes with the mic it tells you what setting is better for what you want to achieve...Like podcasting.
hey do you know how to get it to record your real voice? you knw like what sound effect or what ever it is that's needed to make it like record your real voice.
@ftptray well i have magix music studio 12 deluxe(which is really freakin awsome) and well since i seen how some music artist do some thing that when they sing, it already has like the effect on their voice. but another thigng is, do you need to be like in a sound proof room to get the best sond and sound quality?

Cool review! It would be great if you could record some more with some damping around the mic to soften the sound and remove some of the echo! Keep up the good work!

Hi Id just like to ask what were the simple adjustments made so that the second sound sample was so much better? I am a complete newbie to sound adjustments and i would be very grateful if someone could show me how to get better sound off of usb mics. I don't have a yeti usb tho I'm using a at2020 usb mic but im thinking the sound adjustments would be the same. Thanks for any help! :)
what pattern did you record in? There seems to be some reverb (probably from hard surfaces, ie walls)) which indicates it was recording in Omni mode. Can you upload samples in all four modes, for comparison. If you were recording in cardioid, is the room small and fairly barren (no drapes, soft material to absorb sound)?
Thank you! I've been looking for a proper audio sample, I would love it if you were able make a sample of how it records music, preferably acoustic guitar but any instrument would be gold. Thanks in advance :)

@Rubenmon1 I would assume you would use no effect. Just plug it in, run your VST or Garageband and let'r rip.
I own this mic, and it is incredible. Best mic for the price on the market in my opinion.
