I have a question. My daughter was recently in a competition and had 4 no-throws with the tail landing first. There was a tail wind that day and many other competitors were experiencing the same problem.

Do you have to adjust your style to compesate for a tail wind?

Well if you had a head wind I try to hit it lower so the wind doesnt knock it down. But with a tailwind I have seen people try to throw it higher to take advantage of the wind. However, I could never do this in meets if you are thining about taking advantage of the wind during a meet you are thinking to much. I would have to see video of your daughter to see if it was a technique problem or a severe wind problem.

My 9 year-old son just threw 24.88 meters to win his first gold medal in an official USATF meet.

I know, maybe not a big deal.

Except that he's never had any official training. I'm his 'coach' (and I've never even touched a javelin, let alone thrown one). On top of that he had a TOTAL of two hours of training. The second hour was after I watched your video. Thanks, man.
