I grew up in Santa Barbara and I can tell you from experience the cops there are notorious for being vicious pieces of shit! They are there to protect the rich in their little beachside playground and everyone else is completely unimportant to them, especially the homeless and the locals. They really have nothing better to do than to harass you for farting in the wrong direction. Fucking useless bunch of tools!
If you were camping in a business parking lot then I'd see a reason for them to bother you, but you stay in public places. They need to leave you alone. If either of you are registered voters I hope you vote libertarian. We need to get the government to stop enforcing victim-less laws.
