WOW!!!!!, This is the song that I requested the "MOE BANDY" band "The Mavericks" play for my wife and I at our wedding dance in 1967 for our "FIRST DANCE" after the wedding.
So good to hear it again on a world wide stage. [I still ahve the vinyl also]
i grew up listening to pete drake, speedy west and jimmy bryant, eddy arnold...and i was raised up north in massachusetts...my dad had alot of mr. drakes recordings but the one that stands out in my memory is the red album cover with many different steel guitars in the back ground and it was released on THE STARDAY record label. that album contained a differant version of PLEADING some of the songs that were on that album was THE ALLEY, PLEADING, GOD, I WISH I COULD REMEMBER THE OTHER SONGS
