I own one, I am 5-11, age 46, position is good except arms are a little stretched, and sometimes elbows get stiff. The crossbones (like the softail standard) will have alot of wind pressure on the highway due to upright postion (you will be miserable on long trips), but night train leans you forward slightly. You will need windshield on x-bones, but night train you can ride with or without. Also you can hang your feet forward off the pegs to help with knee comfort.
I ended up buying neither of these bikes. Price and styling led to me getting a Street Bob. Put on V&H short shots and forward controls and I LOVE IT! At 140km though the wind wants to toss you off with the mini apes. You gotta hold on on this bike.
As a stock it feels great for short runs. For longer ones it sucks!! You need a position like Fatboy to travel for many hours!! BUT if you get your back supported (by a driver's backrest OR a bag) things get MUCH better.Even that here is still the matter of raised and forward arms...
is that the original seat?... great bike!!!

How is the riding position on these, and are they comfortable? I'm in the market for a new bike and am torn between the Nigh Train and Crossbones.
