That is exactly the Wolverine I love as well; the strong, background, sarcastic comment badass. Japan storylines are my favorite. Samurai Logan = FTW.

i completely agree with you about how great this book is. excellent review. by the way, the extra stuff in the hardcover is really 2 issues of Uncanny X-Men that take place directly after the 4 issue mini-series. but you're not missing much, they weren't that great in my opinion

i just got wolverine classics vol 1-5 and i will review them when i finish them.
also i have the current captain america #1- present and im subscribed so i sure you will like it same with the invincible iron man

No that's a new invention. From what I understand Wolverine Origins is the series that talks about that. This is literally just Wolverine in Japan.
