sorry RDLoehrke, I just happened to be a naive kid from Vancouver when I made this. I was fascinated by what I saw and wanted to put my perspective out there so others could enjoy what I was experiencing. It's a shame you don't care for U2. Here's a solution: play your favorite local music as you begin watching the video, and then just mute the YouTube. Then you won't need to worry about it.

With the sheer quantity of musicians in Portland, you'd think that one would have no problem at all finding local music for this video.
