  • how did you do to enter in the cockpit?

  • I thought some viewers here might be interested in my channel where I do real-time voice-over flights using the PMDG simulator for FSX, but don't focus on graphics, just procedures from real-world. I also take requests. Stop on by if you wish!

  • gooooooooooood

  • yeah, this is the best job in the world.....

  • @skillerboy3 unfortunately with low pay.

  • @dookiekong007 low?? Yeah the first years in a big airline you don't make a lot, but if you are with a big airline for about 5 to 10 years you could be making in the 6 digits. Some pilots for very large airlines flying international flights make about 300,000 that is rare though. Also pilots make a bonus every hour they are away from home. Overall being a pilot is a good paying job after you have been with the airline for a while. ;D

  • What do the numbers mean?

  • @MuffinManKiller 50ft to touchdown 40..30..20..10 :)

  • My favorite Triple Seven!

  • The first officer pulled on reverse thrust... like a boss.

  • @bamsb90 haha indeed he did

  • Great video .

While I used to love being an airline pilot, unlike the current top commenter claims, I don't think its the best job in the world - as the in between bits bored the crap out of me, so now I have a more interesting job.

I currently work for Playboy as an artificial implant detector.

  • @venomfanex Artificial implant detector? Aren't all implants artificial? XD

  • @venomfanex Heh heh. From one checklist-centric job to another! :)

Er, they do give you a list of the things to grope and check for, no?

  • @SleaZyYKixX they don't manually fly the entire flight you know? it's autopilot

  • i am sure there come days in their lives when they land the beast, disembark look back at the giant and wonder how. awesome feat of engineering and the brains that build it and finally put them in the skies and back to land again...

  • Why is there a third crew member (at 1:25)? I thought 777s only needed two crew?

  • @LMF5000 For long haul flight they need two sets of crews (two for each set) so while one set are on command the other can rest..

  • @matdinzz Oh. Are the backup crew allowed to sleep during the rest period?

  • @LMF5000 Yes.. Every wide body aircraft have crew bunks for the crew to take a sleep and rest.. the same thing also applied to the cabin crews..

  • @matdinzz Not all wide body, 2 weeks ago I flew back from Milan to JFK on a 767-400ER and the crew rested right behind me in seat 9A (Delta)

  • @tomtimex Its depend on airlines. But for most legacy airlines (like one I'm currently worked with) they provide the crew bunks for the crews to rest and sometime they do reserved some seats (normally on the last row) for their crews to rest. If the crews rest on seats with passenger they must have some indications to show they were off duty ie on my airlines the female c.a. wear the cardigan while the male c.a. wear the vest.

  • @matdinzz Very cool! Thanks for the info! Would you mind telling me the Airline?

  • @LMF5000 This is a training flight. For long haul flights they add extra crew members to meet legal requirements. But on this flight not the case, because it is a training flight

  • did he land with cat1 or just normal landing??

  • The Boeing 777 Is a Beautiful plane. :)

  • is dit een pc spel?

  • is it 4 pilotes

  • landing in schiphol from?

  • @MrAckebo1 no schiphol had no runway 22

  • @golds079 no i mean where were the plane comming from?

  • 777-200 777-300 ???

  • @MrAckebo1 777-300er

  • textbook approach... Very very nice!

  • i want buy this airplane~haha~

  • What a smooth landing.

  • 50. 40. 30. 20. 10..........(rumbles)

  • im gonna fly in a few days with a klm 777 to sfa :)

  • how do YT users get into the cockpit?

  • @efast00 probably by being a pilot/first officer/some other part of flight crew...

  • what is the sound in 0:14???

  • @dadaco2232 The sound "Minimums" ? If you here Minimums and you don't see the runway, you must go aroung.

  • @pilotedeligne25 Depends on the airfield and aircraft. 777 and 744 can both land in zero vis so long as the runway has a CATIII or higher glideslope. The vis minimums are mainly for taxying, not landing funnily enough.

  • Nice visual landing ;)

  • He's my flight instructor! :P

  • Very Good Landing!!!!!

  • What does it mean when the GPWS calls out minimums?

  • It's the altitude at which the pilots must have the runway in sight, or else they have to do a go around.

  • Pilots are brill so confident and sure about what they do. I find there casual apperance reassuring.

    They are superb.

  • @whereeaglesdare3 that was auto landing you dumb euro fuck

  • @ypaul123 YOU FUCKING PAEDOPHILE . WISH i COULD knock the fuck out of you.

  • @ypaul123 That was not an auto landing! the First Officer landed the aircraft in this video.

  • @thequoz DONT EVER CORRECT ME

  • @ypaul123 it's a free world sunshine. get a life you looser!

  • @ypaul123 : The green letter on PFD said 'FLT DIR' which can only mean he was flying manually. If it's Autoland this part will be 'A/P'. The Autopilot green bar of MCP was also extinguish.

  • @Koravee777 Thanks, i already knew that though

    im a 747-400 typed rated.

  • @ypaul123 The 747-400 is the World's Best Aircraft.

  • @whereeaglesdare3 then you should know that 1 of 2 pilots fall asleep..

  • thats your opinion its obvious you dont have a true passion for flying so dont speak for everyone else.... how can you speak on sommething you know nothing about lol

  • Anyone who loves to fly would love this job. Just like if you love math and teaching, you'd enjoy being a math teacher, unlike me who that wouldn't be for me. Pilots have a love for the sky and the machines that take them there. And I can guarantee that 95% of pilots wouldn't give there jobs up for anything in the world.. they love them.

  • true, but you gotta admit you don't really see much up there. I love flying. But the only point im trying to make is that you should always maintain an active lifestyle on the ground as well as in the air to keep the mind varied and active. I just get the feeling that some people think pilots only live for flying and people should realize they do other stuff.

  • What you mean there's not much to see? You can see for miles, its the best view in the world! And my favorite thing about flying is going through a cloud bank with the sun setting, its the most beautiful thing ive ever seen. And for most pilots, its not so much about the view, but the freedom. When i fly, i feel completely free, even of gravity. Its the most incredible feeling for me

  • you still dont see much in great detail up there at 40,000 ft and alot of scenary you see below you is a little tiny dot and blur. every inch is a mile from the view scale you have up there. a vietnam vet fighter pilot once told me this so im gonna go with him

  • the experience of flying cant be accurately described to you by anyone else, and just because someone is a vietnam pilot doesnt mean that they are experts on the experience of flight. You have to really experience it yourself to decide if you love it or not. And its not about the detail for me, seeing thousands of city lights blending together at night is an incredible experience for me. I always think of the millions of people i fly over and all their different lives

  • I agree flying is a nice experience and is a great feeling but you are limited in the detail you can see things at cruise. I like the dscent & landing best. What i hate about flying is the cabin pressure and dirty air. I don't like the fact that the cabin air is not created using mineral oils. on the ground diver air and inline breathing masks for spray painting use air compressors that use mineral oils. cabin air is quite contaminated with pollutants and the filters do a pretty crap job

  • It must be odd to think about all that plane behind you.

  • @tubeyou443 hahaa

  • you're absolutely right

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeetoooooooooooooooo

  • ALWAYS CENTERED AND SOFT, KLM

  • This is a Boeing 777.!! I fly for a living (BA) on the -200ER variant

  • no it is a 777 airbus would be with a yoke for most of the model and boeing have no plane with yoke it's airbus who does have yoke on most of theyre plane and yes this is a glass cockpit

  • @tonybklyn where

  • LOL..sorry forgot to hit reply. That was to the guy who said that wasn't a 777.

  • @xaviourte but it could also maybe at the extreme be also a 767 but i believe more its a 777

  • plz keep your ignorant mouth shut and dont speak about anything aviation related again because its clear you know nothing about airplanes the 777 does not hive a sidestick yoke and this is a glasscockpit

  • Yea, and it's not an Airbus. Don't make Airbus take credit for Boeing's awesome planes.

  • Nice Touchdown

  • wonderful video

  • why are people arguing on here about how the pilots does this or that or how an airplane is flow? YOu do not have to proove urself to anybody but urself. why bother wasting ur time on these comment boxes.

  • no flare? wtf?.

  • i guess it depends on approach speed. The faster one goes the less flare needed. I'm not a pilot (just sim pilot) but I think that with the proper approach speed on an airliner only small amount of flare is needed.

  • wait I take it back, it was mostly of a 3 degree flare?

  • Yea, probably slightly flared in this video. Though I'd say pilots use their judgment when they flare, in real life they have a natural view and perception as opposed to some visual limitations of a normal one monitor computer flight sim.

  • as the airplane indicated air speed slows the angle of increase along with the nose pitch, as the airplane speeds up the angle of attack decreases.

  • did he even flare the aircraft?

  • why did the left pilot put his hands on the dash?

  • Maybe To Have A Brake lol, Sometimes They Do That When In The Air, CO-Pilot Takes Over If Captain Say's So :D Sometimes They Need Brakes You Know :D

  • What the hell are you talking about...? The co-pilot doesn't take over, as if it's a privilege or, something special. The pilots decide before the flight who is going to be pilot flying (PF) and who is Pilot Not Flying (PNF). The first officer has just as much right to fly the plane as the captain does, something a lot of people obviously don't know.

  • What kind of a gay question is that..? He obviously just felt like resting his hand on there... seriously wtf!

  • Why does it have to be gay all of the sudden, why can't he rests his hands on his lap? It seems more comfortable, it looks out of the ordinary. Just because people ask questions doesn't mean u have to react in an asshole manner, dick head

  • Yes but seriously... read the question you just asked... It's like asking why did he scratch his head..? (He didn't but as an example), it's stupid.

  • the best job in the world

  • @ulissessful that's ur opinion!! :D

  • @ulissessful well is kind of cool but any other avrage carreer umake amistake norhing happens but flying an aitrplane a single little mistake ur dead

  • LANDING CAT II?OR NOT?

  • is it just me, or was the visibility during landing very bad?

  • the visibility is bad ,

  • Not that bad, bit misty that's all.

  • That's a remarkably narrow runway. The ones in dubai are huge

  • it dont have to big, so long you can land:p

  • I don't know about planes but looks like a perfect landing to me. Anyway I find it to be almost a miracle that something so big and heavy can fly so high. The first time I was in a plane i was just thinking, man, I am in the freaking sky, like just beside the clouds and I'm inside this huge flying bus. I just thought it was unreal.

  • haha yeah that makes two. What's more amazing is the guy sitting next to you complaining that there is no IFE on a 1 hour flight. I guess he neglected the fact that he is 7 miles in the sky traveling appox. 500 MPH

  • Nice video

    Why there are 3 pilots

  • the third guy in the back is the flight engineer

  • Yeah but now there only 2 pilots, sometimes the old 747 have 3 pilots but with a 777 it's amazing

  • 4 pilots in the plane, 2 are flying, 2 are resting, and about some hours they change

  • I knew about the 4 pilot rule but at the end of the day if the trip is 14 hours 2 pilots take 7 hours each do each of the pilots log 14 hours into their books? or just the 7 hours they flew?

  • lol, the 777 is a modern jet. not like the old planes.. so the 777 has no flight engineer

  • Yes, but lacking the flight engineer has caused many near crashes

  • why? there was only 1 777 crash since it is in production. if its safer to fly with a flight engineer they would put them back in the plane again..

  • plz tell me which near chrashes? :)

  • one was where there wasn't enough fuel put in (because of a mathematical error, and the fuel gauge was broken) the pilot did the wrong equation (its normally the engineers responsibility) and the plane landed safely, without a nose gear. that could have easily ended in tragedy

  • It was actually a maintenance worker that forgot to disable the faulty second channel of the fuel qauntity indicator system. If he would have disabled it the fuel gauges would have shown the right amount of fuel.

Yes, the pilot but also the maintenance workers did a lot of mistakes. All of these missunderstandings and mistakes led to that incident. This problem could have happened with a flightengineer. Also today flight dispatchers often calculate the amount of fuel needed...

  • are u talking about the air canada 767-200 dat the captin did a slip and slide manuever in order to not increase airspeed but have a much greater sink rate becuase the runway was turned into a short drag strip

  • but that was a b767 i have seen that in air crash investigations

  • a 777 has never crashed....check its records

  • Modern avionics have eliminated the need for a flight engineer for years

  • My godfather flys KLM 777-200ER as a pilot.

  • Wat is nou weer een 'godfather'???

    Bedoel je opa? (Grandpa)

    Op je vader? (Dad)

  • stiefvader , i dont really speak dutch but that could be it!

  • O, stiefvader! Oké, not your real dad but a kind of the friend of your mother! Do I have to learn you some things? :P

  • mmm, 777 is so quiet.

  • Where you were coming from?

  • man KLM is one of the best commercial aircrafts in aviation and has many routes.

  • KLM is also the oldest airline, so they have many experiences like they buy planes when the economy goes down because the prices are cheap. LOL

  • qantas is

  • no klm is.

  • ye ur rite, i checked and klm founded in 1919, qantas 1920. so my appologies .

  • KLM started first, but Qantas has a longer running time. KLM stopped operations and came back a bit after it

  • Yes, the Netherlands (Olé!) had the first companie (VOC, Verenigde Oost Indische Compagnie (Unites east-indonesia compagni) and also the first Airline in the world, KLM, I'm proud of it, haha :P

  • where is this? not EHAM because EHAM hasn't a runway 22 nice vid!

  • why nice pilots? It was the automatic pilot

  • incorrect - the first officer was flying.

    pay more attention next time.

  • KLM doesnt do ILS landings

  • why?

  • not sure, i think they only do them in extreme weather conditons like dense fog

  • Very Nice Landing Pilots.

  • awesome pilots!!

  • MAMA HUEVO TODO EL MUNDO

  • these lights are the runway lights

  • did u recorde if u did how did u got in the Cockpit

  • whats that light lighting across the cockpit
