@LifevsMusic cause that would be too easy! :P No.. changing it from mono to poly completely changes the characteristic of the sound and makes it sound very... one dimensional? its hard to explain, but it sounds like crap.
Great tutorial man. Nice synth, really useful. you must have been really busy during English class in high school though lol "lead" is pronounced leed and "ethereal" is ih-theer-ee-uhl.
@mw2king89 I learned it using my midi controller well at least i know part of it, the notes are F#3 A3 C#4 E4 and F#4. The pattern is easy to figure out
How do i save the the instrument i just created? When i add all the effects and everything. how do i save it as Deadmau5? or Dance epic? . So i dont have to keep adding the effects every time?
@epicpolyphony Having the same issue.. except the option to save channel settings isn't coming up. Which, isn't very nice. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place or something...
Question. I do not have Logic Studio and as a result cannot use Space Designer. What other plugin can I use in place of the missing one to get a similar reverb effect?
@espeed623 you can use pretty much any other reverb unit. It just needs to be long and not too overpowering, with a creamy feel (if you know what i mean) Ive made something very similar in Reason with good results, using propellerhead's native reverb unit.
@futureanim8tor I have another tutorial video on how to make that reverb setting. Really, you just want something very sustained that isnt too...mushy? you dont want the sound as a whole to get bogged down by the reverb. It still needs to sound fresh. The reverb just kinda fills in the wholes between notes to create a more complete sound. if that makes sense... BUT I do have another video explaining exactly how to make the ethral peace reverb!
@epicpolyphony correction : that is why you have to record each note individually and put it into the sampler. Sorry if that sounded egotistical. twas just a typo :)
It would really make a difference if you play the synth after every change you make to it!

@Bknobber Do you see the rectangle above the EQ slot on the channel? Right click there and go down to save channel settings.

regardless, the tutorial was pretty good.

@thissignupisannoying found it. difference with a click pad is you hold down what would be the left click instead of right click.

To make it polyphonic, don't you just set it to "Poly"?
giascle 1 year ago
@giascle I wish it were that simple...the sound turns to shit. That's why you have to record each note individually and put it into my sampler.
