@siggistud Sorry dude but I no longer own this board. Rode it for a little bit and it handled awesome but decided to go back to the 2011 banana due to personal preference. If you read back down to my earlier replies you can find out why I switched. I think next season I may give the Jamie Lynn Phoenix series a try. I'll post something if I end up picking one up.
@MegaNafets The Thirty Two Lashed was alyways my first choice regardless of the price or budget. It just so happned that I came across a good deal on a brand new 08' model. So I saved a bill and used it for my first lift ticket. Honestly I have no regrets because the 08' 32 Lashed still feel great after 3 months of riding. I would have bought the 2010 model if I hadn't seen the 08'.
I found the T. Rice to be a little to stiff for me. There is nothing wrong with the board it's just my personal preference to ride something a little softer. This board was absolutely incredible at high speeds and landing jumps but I was not able to butter as well due its stiffness. Since I switched to the Skate Banana my riding skills have dramatically increased. I may grab another T. Rice later when I get better at taking larger jumps.
What video would you like to see? I no longer have the T. Rice because I have switched to a skate banana. My skate banana has the Union Contact Pro bindings mounted to it. If you would like to see it I can post a new video.
Yes I have rode this board. The C2 BTX technology in this board is a very aggressive set up and it handles very well at high speeds and any kind of jumps. The flex is rather stiff so I would say it is not really built for the park but it should be OK if you wanted to ride it in the park. I have actually switched to a Lib Tech Skate Banana and found it to be much better for my style of riding. The T. Rice Pro was a little to stiff for me but I kept the video up for people to enjoy.
A protective layer may help protect your top sheet but it will not protect it from sidewall damage, particularly on the nose and tail. From my experience I am always getting some sort of ding or small gouge in my sidewalls. Sidewalls can be repaired with marine grade epoxy so it's no big deal. Don't worry too much about looks. In the end there is no protection worth paying for that will prevent damage, it will happen regardless. Save your money for something useful like an edging tool.
do you beleive is correct to put the classic plastic protection tail and nose in my board for protection or is unnecessary and ''destroy'' the image of board...??
In my experience I would say it's not true. Mervin Manufacturing has been building snowboards for Lib Tech and GNU brands for well over 20 years. They know exactly what they are doing. Every LIb Tech board is hand built in the USA in Washington State and they pride themselves on their quality. If you heard this from someone then they may have received a defective board. This can happen with any manufacturer. A lot of people in my area (Northwest USA) ride LIBs and GNUs with no issues.
I ride a fairly wide stance. I mount my bindings on the second farthest holes out on the insert packs. With my current set up it is around 16.5" (41.91 cm) between the heels of my bindings. This helps me get good flex and makes turning easier. It does not work for everybody but it's most effective for me.
what's up Calisnr. I'm 5'6" and around 155 Lbs with full gear on. If you watched my first review of the T. Rice I did briefly mention my size. If you're anywhere near my size and weight I would stick with the 153. If not then move up to the 156. These are still both blunt tips. In my opinion the 153 is a little softer flexing than what the manufacturer rates it ( 7 out of 10). I prefer this anyways. Good luck on your choice and I hope this helps!
I got the same set up but with orange union force
