I gotta say that I disagree with his theory on humanity working towards a new leap. first our last leap - the internet - has to evolve. maybe in 80 years time a new innovative invention will be made. just think about our last big step: Film. it is THE invention that ruled the 20th century but took almost the whole century to evolve to what it is now. internet won't take that long. still it is not until the privatisation of the internet is completed that we are ready for the next big thing.

If anyone else is interested in "lifting your head above the cubicle complex" with sensory deprivation... You may be able to approximate it according to Cracked... Halves of a pingponbg ball taped over the eyes, with a white noise (radio set between stations), and a red light on near your face. For 60-90min. No way to cheaply and discretely get that floating feeling, but I may try this at home method for kicks.
