  • Wow... Turns out Lindsey could be fucking scary... He almost killed Stevie... O_o

  • They're one of the best bands because they make great music. Also, they have so many eras to choose from, and there was always so much drama!

  • Thanks for posting...

  • Should have called the band Fleetwood Beard.

  • Wow so many permutations and guitarists and inter-personal strife but what great unforgettable music!

  • .....I don't understand why they keep following Bob Welch.

  • Great documentary!

    Thanks for posting!

  • The BBC continually puts together top-notch rock documentaries. Be sure to watch 'Peter Green-Man of the World'. Green and Spencer are both interviewed.

  • Thanks a lot for posting this, I learned plenty, but I think the other members like Lindsay and Christine should have been also interviewed. Lindsay should have been allowed to give his version about that issue with Stevie.

Anyway FM is a unique band with a very long and special story. There's no other band like it in the whole world.

  • She's acting like this was a bolt out of the blue - they knew, once it was clear that Clinton was going to beat Bush I, that they would play at the White House. And I stand by my statements about her: I've had dogs with better diction and hair.

  • is there a interview where u hear lindsey side of the fight between him and stevie in 87

  • @22infection There was a BBC Documentary earlier this year/or last year i forget. where he hints at it

  • delighted.havent seen this since it was first on telly.mc vie's a gas.if it hadnt have been for his insight, the early years, and how they panned out would've seemed

    tragic.instead of plain old mad.fuck nicks.nobody cares.

  • McVie's bodily gestures and facial expressions throughout this whole documentary fill in the gaps of the story rather nicely. And the ending with respect to Peter Green provides valuable contrast. I'm a newly converted Fleetwood Mac fan. It took a long time for Rumors not to bother me, and I would never have even thought to listen to any of the other albums from any era. Now I'm delving into the old singles and beyond. Thanks BBC for another quality program, and sincere thanks to the uploader.

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!! i learned so much

  • Is Stevie Nicks really that stupid?? "President Clinton needs us!" Puleeze. When they did this show for the Democrats, Bush (old George I) was president and Clinton was a former governor of Arkansas. There was no "President Clinton" until the following year. She sounds like she just got out of high school. In my old neighborhood, South Central Los Angeles. Does she keep a knife in that hair/nest??

  • @jackfulcher First of all, , Stevie DOES NOT say the word "NEEDS" she says the word WANTS at 3:38 . Open your ears. Secondly, President Clinton took office on 20, January 1993, the performance concert is when Fleetwood Mac performed "Don't Stop". So no she is not stupid, she is a millionaire and you're a nothing.... And as for her hair, she can have it anyway she wants.

  • @EveDonovan OK, Eve, the small point: I'm a millionaire, too; doesn't take all that much effort, as long as you do your homework and your job. If she's worth over $10M, she's got me beat. And I'll concede that my hyperbolic characterization of her saying "The prez NEEDS us" was, well, hyperbole. And remember that, all through the campaign in 1992, Clinton and his handlers used this theme song, including when he was nominated at the Dem convention is the summer. This wasn't her first time.

  • Gotta Love McVie and Bob Welch is a fucking riot, very funny indeed..

  • John McVie cracks me up!

  • I can't stand this version of the band. It's all commercialistic crap next to what the Original lineup of the band had done.

  • Thanks. This is the most balanced portrait of Fleetwood Mac I've ever seen

or read. For one thing, it tells the true story of Mick Fleetwood initially only wanting Lindsay. I've seen later documentaries which have whitewashed this fact. One very small point: The band is performing "Sara" while the caption reads "Dreams".

  • Fleetwood Mac and their guitarists is like Spinal Tap with their drummers!

  • not much of a family "tree" story (not like the other episodes)

  • Wait, what? Stevie said Lindsey threw her against a car and strangled her! When did this happen? I knew they had fights, but dang. It had to have been bad for her to tell him if he killed her the band or her family would come after him. Hmm....I'm beginning to change my opinion about him.. I agree with @WatchYourAttitude

  • I just finished watching this and I'm a bit shocked I must say. The whole Lindsey/Stevie story is way heavier then I thought. And the way John talks makes the story sound even scarier. It's like a horror story. Onlt the story is amde a few years too early. They should totally do a remake of this now. Oh and that Bob Welch guy annoys me! I don't like him. Anyone who agrees with me?

  • @WatchYourAttitude I think welch is cool....i like americans and english people :)

  • @WatchYourAttitude NO! Bob Welch is awesome!! He's a great guy

  • @twitterusernamebk09 well I only judge on this video, but here he really annoys me.

  • @WatchYourAttitude yeah,I probably thought the same when I first saw this years ago but i've since learned ! :)

  • What do you think the chances are of being able to get all of the members of Fleetwood Mac on stage at the same time?

  • Interesting story! I had no idea of all the background of this band. One of my favorites of the time and so many memories that are entwined in there songs! Money, fame and the rest, it always seems to destroy. Even after becoming a Christian in 1983, still enjoy listening to them here and there. If you ever get a change, buy the DVD of Stevie Nicks at Red Rocks. I am sure it’s on youtube. Great concert!

  • I love stevie in this interview I thought she looked her best in 1994-95 but no matter what she is beautiful inside-out

  • @96Jazangel

    AMEN!!!!!

  • Oh, well... we might all like the picture of Greenie at his best but I guess if we are to maintain contact with reality we have to see Pete as he really is - as painful as that might be.. "Nothing will stop me...?" Oh, no... Fucking drugs did. SHIT 'EM!!!

  • mc vie at the end there nearly choking up talking about green makes you realise how big a part he is (and still is) to him and mick. Like the fact he wants to keep the blues playing genius in his head rather than what green became

  • Lyndsey is an amazingly talented guy, but he was a control freak and a bully - Stevie didn't say that Lyndsey hit her then, but read between her lines.... Lyndsey's ex Carol Ann Harris tells of his wild rages in her book which some people say are lies but its been mentioned on several docs that Lyndsey was possessive and controlling.

  • @emmyvic22 I think you are right, Stevie and Lindsay really love each other but they are not compatabile at all!

  • This is what i love about these documentaries. They have a story, not like the bands of today, i don't blame them because it's a different era. You feel they had more control and not scared to give just because someone left.

  • A ftting postscript. An excellent conclusion of an enjoyable documentary. Thanks (once again) to posting it & making it available. The 'Rumours' lineup was indeed a classic group. All members had definable songs in their own right & that put together (as a whole) a very eclectic mix. Interesting how it all goes back to Peter Green. Would really be something if he reunited with them, if even just for a tour. I bet it would sell well and attract attention. Best wishes to all FM members & the fans.

  • And here they are in their 60s doin' it all again. lol. The moral of the story? Never say never...

  • It wasn't self defense when he chased her down the street and threw her against the car (her words), thats assault

  • that coward buckingham how could you do that to little stevie nicks. You never EVER hit a woman, NEVER!

  • her dad and bro should have kicked his ass

  • She admittedly attacked him first... and she never said he hit her.

  • that was so mean what lindsay did to stevie and of course he would

  • Again, thanks for posting this series, I really enjoyed it.
