@jedisarang The point of Mario ROM hacks is to make it hard even with savestates. Kaizo makes you cry WITH savestates... this is way too simple. And it's not nessecarily hard, you just have to go really slow so you don't fall down. It's not actually challenging like Kaizo is, where you sit at an obstacle wondering how to pass it for 15 mins.

@siddububba This particular video was Azureblade doing a ROM-hack review, and it's generally faster for the reviewer and more enjoyable for the watchers when save-states are used, since if one bit's constantly killing Mario, it's not going to be fun watching the guy replay through the level each time and get killed at the same spot each time. It gets boring. The hack looks easy, but it'd be irritating to try and one-shot it. Raocow does have a higher patience threshold than Azure, though…

This isn't meant to be a display of the guy's skills, he asked for ROM hacks to review, and it's easier to review them with save states. Granted, this one looked easy, but tedium will grind just as much as muncher walls. I would, personally, love to see you try Kaizo Mario World without savestates or rewind.
