the best way to use the fatal1ty headset is to put the mic right up to your lips then you can turn the mic volume way down but get the same volume out of it, greatly reducing that hum. also, where you are in the room will make the hum fluxuate so find an optimal spot.

With the enhancement you sound really weird. Like broken audio or something that you sometimes get when listening to badly ripped mp3's. There's no background noise though, but I'd prefer with background noise and not sound so weird.

I know! Be careful though, clumbsy me tripped on the long wire, and totally ripped the cable. My friend soldered the wires, but the mic doesn't work when plugged into the headset. So I bought a replacement today.

Editing the videos in Camtasia, you can remove the noise, and adjust level. Thats a very cool thing in Camtasia.

He uses Camtasia studio. In the time line, if you right click on the audio and then click audio enhancements or something like that. Then click remove background noise I'm pretty sure.
