Interesting, I have heard that doing crossword puzzles keep you mind sharp and builds you vocabulary, i just never gave any thought to doing a crossword puzzle before and exam. But i guess it makes sense, they always say older people should do crossword puzzles to keep their mind sharp so inevitably it should be the same for us. I'm going to try this on my next exam! A good tip just before mid-terms! Thanks! Chitussi MRK460MT
Reading newspapers in a daily basis is also another way to build vocabulary. Usually, I tend to forget a vocabulary that I already learned if I don’t use it often. News usually use the same/similar terms and they help reminding me of the words and their meanings. Knowing the context in which the term is used is also another benefit of reading newspapers.
Interesting tip, never heard this one before. I'll have to try this next time and let you know if it worked. It will be a real challenge to actually sit down with a crossword before the exam instead of going nuts stressing and smoking every 5mins!
This is so true, I always get stuck on words during an exam and have trouble thinking of more knowledgeable vocabs. Since the exams are coming up, I will probably try this and see if it will work or not and put it to the test.

Because I am always lazy, sometimes I did a Sudoku puzzle in the morning to warm my brain and just like the results of crosswords so was the result of doing Sudoku.
Well.... This tip will not work for me as I have to write the answers which I read in my book and not the answers of my own. So, all the answers I read are memorized Word to Word.
The only thing is, I don't get the sequence of the answer in my mind. So, it all jumbles up!
TennisP - hmm, interesting point - but think of puzzles as physically exercising your brain which may help in allowing it to recall faster the content you packed in there memorizing - the point is, when you write an exam you are trying to get the info out - therefore the activities you should focus on, immediately before the exam, should being to get info out, not pack more in - and puzzles helps get info out
I already finished my Intermediate(12th) exams a month ago and the results will be announced with in 4 days... lol... It was a late reply... but, thanks for uploading this video and thanks for replying to my reply. I can use this tip in my future exams and even other people can utilize these tips!
your feedback "devilembace", is appreciated, if you can think of any other types or categories of tips that may be useful for students, let me know and I'll make a video for that

yes Yen, vocabulary building really helps your answer contain "mature language", like saying "acquiring capital", instead of saying "get money"

although I am not a smoker, for serious smokers, studies prove it does calm them down

Another weapon: Sudoku
