the Awakenings film was the only picture that jerked tears from my masculine eyes! The music just accelerated the drops! I guess all of us can relate to the situation of this story at some time in our lives.
Yes indeed it is a story of Hope and Tragedy according to the Character Dr. Sayer its like giving some one the gift of life and then having to take it away again. The Moral lesson is we should know how to appreciate life and the people around us it is not very often that we are given the second chance. so the redemption for Dr.Sayer is that in that short period Leonard Lowe ( De Niro ) enjoyed and make use most of his life found love true love and all.
