  • I never heard is this show

  • que bacan

  • Holy crap! Almost every comment is from the same 2 people! :P

  • So this is where the dub intro got some of its footage,

  • so is the japonoise version of sailor moon beter than theengloish dubs?

  • @Elwolf100 It's really a matter of opinion. Personally, I like Japanese Sailor Moon better than English for a number of different reasons, (that I won't get into here because it would be too long :P), but I have had people argue that English Sailor Moon is better. There IS a big difference between the two, so, it's really up to you and your preferences. Hope that helped! :D

  • I have to ask this... only because I never got an answer no matter how many people I asked.. WHAT DOES THE R AND SUPER S STAND FOR?!?

  • @Venixian The R stands for Return and SUPER S stands for Super Scouts.

  • @x00001 ah, thank you^^ it was getting annoying only knowing what the S stood for >.>

  • @Venixian The R can either stand for Return or Romance or Rabbit (for Chibi-usa), but no offical meaning was given for what SuperS stands for. Some say "SuperSenshis," or "SuperSailors," or, the most favorited one, "Super Supers" ( b/c the other girls are given their super upgrades in this season, like the one Sailor Moon got last season, meaning there is more than one super warrior now.) It's really up to whatever you want to call it. ^_^

  • @Venixian To be more precise, the first half of R is Return and the latter half is Romance.

  • I like this opening better than the one they used!

  • why pedo bear? what is his connection with this video?

  • Soooo....are seasons 1, 4 and 5 Sailor Moon Q, T and U?

  • @227060 Haha, cute! XD I haven't heard that joke before!

  • @Usagi393 sorry...i honestly can't tell cos this isn't spojken aloud but was that scarcasm??? not accussing or anything just curious

  • @227060 Oh, no, I am sorry, I was being genuine! ^_^ I have heard a lot of jokes about Sailor Moon, (and despite being a SM fan myself, I will still be the first one to make of fun of it), but I hadn't heard your joke before! To be honest, I never connected that season 2 is called R, and then season 3 is called S! Haha, so I liked that you continued the alphabet theme that Toei has going on! XD

  • @Usagi393 ah cheers. yeah i mean if anyone has the right to take the piss out of something the fans should bcos you know we love it the most so we can get away with it. eg despite what he says about studying to be a doctor Mamoru probably just spends most of his time coming up with speeches to deliver for his next Tuxedo Mask dramatic reveal cos no one comes up with the stuff he says ont eh spot

  • @227060 Lol, true! For me, I love to make fun of R because it’s my second least favorite season, so I will make of fun it all day long even though I love Sailor Moon! XD Seriously, how do Mamoru-san and Usagi-chan come up with those stupid speeches they give all the time?! No way they are off the top of their heads! Of course, I never understood why Mamoru wants to be doctor. In the first season, it makes sense, but in R, he finds out he is going to be the King of Earth in the future

  • @227060 so what is the point of medical school if you know you are never going to become a doctor? In the manga, it is suggested Usagi and Mamoru become King and Queen in their 20s, so Mamoru would probably have just gotten out of medical school when he became King. Why spend all that time and money into something if you are never going to a chance to use it? Being a doctor seemed more like a hobby for Mamoru to do at that point.

  • @Usagi393 i dunno how they come up with the stuff hbut i welcome them they are funny and makes it feel more sentai-ish. tbh pretty much most of the character's dreams and aspiration from R onwards make little sense bcos..they KNOW how everything is gonna turn out, well except in Stars which 1 of the reasosn i like that season so much. u really don't like R? fair enough but it might be my 2nd or 3rd fav season. most ppl go for S and while i like it i dunno i preferred seasons 1+ 2 for some reason

  • @227060 maybe its cos they bookend each other so well season 1: senshi's past. season 2: senshi's future. in any case SuperS is my least fav. again it has its moments and i don't hate it but its fillers were more boring (imo Stars had the best filler and maybe the best finale). tbh except for Ami, Chibi-usa and Minako did any of the senshi pursue a proper future job/ambition (besides wanting to hook up/stay hooked up with someone)?

  • @227060 Yea, and as weird as the speeches are, they are amusing. Plus, it’s not just Japanese anime/mangas that do the heroic speeches. If you have ever read a Superman comic, Americans do it too! XD Well, I do like some of R, but there were so many questions left open for me, it kind of ruined the season. For one, where was Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn in the future? Pluto was at the Door of Space-Time, and the other girls were in a trance, caused by using all their energy to emit a force field

  • @227060 protecting the Queen’s comatose body and the remains of the palace, so where were Uranus and them? Why did the Silver Crystal absorb into Chibi-usa’s body when she picked it up? Usagi had used it many times before and she never absorbed it, so what was different about Chibi-usa? And then there are a bunch of time paradoxes that confuse me. Chibi-usa’s plan was to steal the past Silver Crystal from Usagi, b/c the future one disappeared, and bring the past Crystal to the future to use

  • @227060 to save the planet. But if she steals the past Crystal from past Usagi, then Usagi will never have it as an adult and it will never be in the palace for Chibi-usa to take in the first place, and if it’s never there, then Chibi-usa can’t remove from the its place in the palace, and therefore she will have no reason to go to the past, and it just continues like that. If they were part of a parallel universe, it would make sense, but it’s been establish they are a part of the same

  • @227060 timeline, so the time paradoxes are rampant. So I like the core plot of R (even though it has been done in so MANY other animes), but there are so many inconsistences for me. Well, Makoto wanted to own a bakery, anime Rei wanted to be a singer/model, (manga Rei wanted to be a priestess), Haruka is a racecar driver, Michiru wanted to be a concert violinist, and Setsuna has always been a Senshi. Other than Pluto, of course, they all wanted to get married as well.

  • @227060 In my opinion though, Makoto and them seemed to understand the importance of being a Senshi over what they personally wanted and gave up their dreams so they could focus on that. Ami and them do too eventually, but they definitely had a harder time letting go (although, Uranus and Neptune still could have gotten married, I guess.) I hated SuperS too!! There were a few good parts, but it was mostly bad anime filler, and it was SO different from the manga.

  • @Usagi393 @Usagi393 to be fair to the american stuff they do change it up with the times a little. but with Sentai and power ranger stuff its kinda expected, its supposed to be a bit cheesy. oh yeah R had a bagillion plot holes opened up later in the series altho remember that R was based on a story arc in the manga which was made ebfore the other outer senshi were even created. tbh when it comes to Saioor Moon, anime, sentai stuff i just say...

  • @227060 ...forget it and just enjoy the ride bcos frankly honestly how much of Sailor Moon, be it manga anime or whatever makes sense? pretty much nothing i mean millenia ago on the moon the elite warriors of the kingdom happened to dress in styalised versions of japanese school girl uniforms which asre as impractical for battle back then as they are now, wtf? not to mention where is the oxygen on the moon? sure the moon people might not need it but then how did Endymion breathe...or walk?

  • @227060 so yeah i KNEW it didn't make sense but with someshows its more about whether you njoy in spite of that and how it makes you feel and i enjoyed it so to hell with logic. in regards to the manga the manga is better in some ways but i think the anime got it right in spirit and some of the changes i actually liked. we (sorta) have 4 different version of sailor moon really and i think thats kinda cool actually they all bring different things to the table...

  • @227060 eg the manga has a more focussed and consistent plot but i feel that among other things the anime fillers do allow us to do a bit more exploring into the charcters as well as just letting us enjoy thier company for longer. i personally felt the senshi's dying in the anime had somewhat of a bigger impact than in the manga (which was still good) bcos we've known them for like 40 episodes as opposed to 10 chapters. but as i say i like both as well as PGSm and Sera Myu (started that recntly)

  • @227060 All very true! XD Sailor Moon doesn’t really make sense to begin with anyway, so I guess I shouldn’t be so picky about R. I mean, Takeuchi only planned the first season of SM and had to come up with R on the spot, so I am sure if she had planned to continue the series from the beginning, it wouldn’t be so full of inconsistencies. It’s the same thing with S; if she had planned to continue the story beyond R, she probably would have included Saturn and tem in R.

  • @Usagi393 my understanding is the anime pretty much encouraged her to create each new story arc. fromw hat iv read so far except from literally right at the end of each arc most manga arcs could've been definitve endings, but its a credit to the authors skills that each new arc truly expands the story and makes most things fit rather than feeling tacked on. with the anime you've also got to remember they were making the show pretty much alongside the manga with less foresite than shonen stuff

  • @227060 My main prob with R is that I have seen the plot so many times in other animes (future child of one of the main characters coming to the past to warn of an impending doom), that’s it has gotten boring and predictable for me. I guess for American comics, the heroic speech thing was a popular thing to do in the 20s-50s, but it kind of fell out of favor from the 60s-present. Not that they don’t still do it now, but it is much less frequent then it used to be. I do like some of the anime

  • @Usagi393 my feelings towards the main plot of R isn't that bad bcos while the plot does exist in so many mediums, its still a cool plot that did do it kinda well. i mean a major factor of the show is Usagi/Mamoru's relationship so by having Chibi-Usa in there it develops that a bit more and a bit mroe convincingly than say DBZ where Vegeta ending up with Bulma is a wtf (even if thier son is cool...and also pink haired o_0). also i saw it pretty young so it wasn't overused for me by that point

  • @227060 usually when they do it in modern american comcis its a parody. occassionaly however they can give a straight heroic speech and genuiny make it cool. i have something of a soft spot for that kinda stuff i do think its unadulterated superheroism and i think its cool, in fact one of my fav examples is early on int he R season when Sailor Moon goes Moon crystal power for the first time and rises from the ground. despite saying somethign corny, the imagery and music make it epic

  • @227060 b/c it gives more time for character development (mainly in the filler) that there isn’t time for in the manga. In the manga, the story is just presented, but the anime has a little bit more leeway to expand on the characters. Plus, it is like you said, the is more of an impact of the girls dying after 40 episodes together, versus just 10 chapters in the manga. I haven’t watched the musical or live action version of SM yet. Are they different than the manga/anime?

  • @Usagi393 b/c? well theres overlap of course but yes there is alot of difference. the live actions eries is initally very close to the manga and then drifts into its own unique but interesting story but its very different from the anime (apart from you know having transformation sequences and stuff every SM thing has). the musicals thus far seem more anime influenced the first 1 is a pseudo sequel tot he first season and even references stuff in it, and i mean tiny stuff...

  • @Usagi393 i was genuinly cut up when i saw the last eps of Stars (i saw the last 5 eps all in one night it was epic, 1 of the ebst finales to ANYTHING iv ever seen) and the impact was greater bcos i'd known these characters for nearly 200 episodes which takes along time to see even at your own leisure, longer than approx 50 manga chapters so thats what i mean. they are very different yes. they all have stuff you NEED for it to bear the name of SM at all eg Usagi, Mamoru etc...

  • @227060 but they do go off into their own areas. PGSM is actually very close to the manga (more so than the anime) initally but then it goes off into its own very different yet interesting storyline that reinterprets stuff from we've seen/read before. the musicals thsu far seem more anime influenced eg the first musical is a kind of sequel to season 1 and refernces it and im talkjing tiny references you'd NEVER get without seeing the season yourself...

  • @227060 ...a good example i'd give is Sailor Venus. the musical version is basically the anime version (so far) but the PGSM version, while closer to the manga version (the Sailor Moon manga NOT the Sailor V manga which the anime and musicals seem to be closer to) is extremly different to all prev versions. shes sorta the sixth Ranger of the team (despite there being just 5 of them). shes a famous idol which of course prev versions ASPIRED to be...

  • @227060 ...and she can be downrigth coldhearted at times which i don't think she was even in the more hardcore manga. its an interesting difference and she is a stronger characetr but i dunno i just preferred the anime version for some reason. maybe its bcos she was never properly part of the team and so all 5 rarely fought together which you know, its a teams how they should fight together. its interestingt ho bcos PGSM Mina is like manga Mina but all grown up

  • @227060 Ugh, don’t even get me started on DBZ. As much as I am tired of the “future child” plot, at least R’s made a lot more sense than what DBZ did it. Chibi-usa made sense because we got to see a whole season of Mamoru/Usagi’s feelings for each other, so Chibi-usa was inevitable. Vegeta/Bulma made no sense at all, and, honestly, I don’t even like Future Trunks for so many reasons. But my DBZ rant is a story for another time! :P If you have ever read the Superman comic from the 40s,

  • @227060 they give heroic super speeches about the evils of fascism and the Axis Powers almost every issue, while promoting America and the rest of the Allied Powers as the ultimate force of good for the world. It’s extremely ironic (for me, at least, being American; as a British citizen, it might have a different meaning for you), that in a 2010 issue, Superman renounced his American citizenship. So Superman went from being extremely patriotic to giving up on his country-WTF?

  • @227060 So, after that, the whole “heroic speech” thing for superheroes was ruined for me, personally, because I felt so hurt that Marvel Comics would do that to Superman after everything that he had been through for America. To be honest, Superman in general has been ruined for me; it would be like Sailor Moon renouncing Japan, it’s just wrong and out of character! The Stars finale WAS well done!

  • @227060 I remember after I finished the last episode, all the times I wished the filler would be over, I kind of missed it when the show was all said and done :,( Thank you very much for detailing so much about the live action series/musical; I will definitely have to check it out now! ^_^

  • @Usagi393 ah friend let us agree to disageree on DBZ cos i truly love that franchise and trunks. some ppl REALLY love Vegta/Bulma but im generally indifferent to it. it was obvious that really the author just wanted Vegeta to have a son and there weren't too many women to be Trunks mother so he just went for the obvious candidate; poor Yamcha. i have read those comics and i find them hilarious how they name drop who awesome the US si all the time...

  • @227060 as it stands now the Superman renounces citizenship thing doesn't matter witht he reboot anyways. while Supes is an american icon and even i as a Brit think thats the right way to go i have usually intepreted the character as being for the world not just for the US. Eg when he says truth justice and the american way i don't think he means "whatever america does is justified" i see it as "the american way" being the tennnts of freedoma nd equality that the US has in its constitution...

  • @227060 the same thing with Captain America. they don't necesarrily represent whatever America is doing at the moment but what the US ideal is what it could or should be. sorry if that sound anti-USA i honestly didn't mean it to be i just mean you know freedom is an imp concept in US culture and thats what they really represent.as a side note DC comics did that to Superman not marvel. Stars for me had THE BEST filler esp that 1 where ever1 goes to Usagi's house. hope u enjoy PGSM/Seramyu

  • @227060 Ah! What was I thinking?! Of course DC Comics publishes Superman! Lol, sorry, I have been watching the anime versions of Wolverine and Iron Man and I just must have Marvel on my brain! ;D Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE DBZ too, but for me, it’s only up to the end of season 3, when Frieza is defeated. After Frieza, it just wasn’t as good or compelling for me. There were some things I liked, like Cell (not as good as Frieza, but still a cool villain), Majin Vegeta was pretty badass, Goku and

  • @227060 Vegeta’s rematch was good to see, and Vegito (as short as we got to see him), but other than those 4 things, I wasn’t as impressed with the story or characters as I was with the first 3 seasons of DBZ. Plus, I didn’t like how Goku was treated like he was Jesus in every season. I mean, I know he is supposed to be the Christ-like, savior character of the show, but they kind of overdid it, in my opinion. Of course, I am a Vegeta fan, so I might be a biased source to ask when it comes to

  • @227060 Goku! ^_^ The problem I have with Vegeta/Bulma is that there is no backstory or motivation for it. It’s like you said, they just wanted Vegeta to have son, and their relationship was just kind of forced on us and we were expected to just believe it. Vegeta is my favorite character because he has so such much backstory, motivation, and character, and for him to just randomly hook up with Bulma for no adequately explained reason, really irritated me and just signaled my starting to

  • @227060 dislike the series. That’s just my opinion though! ^_^ Yea, with the reboot of the Superman series, his renouncement doesn’t really matter, but, for me, it still hurts none the less that it was done at one point in time. True, Superman is definitely a world figure for justice, not just an American one, but, (and this is just me, I don’t know how Americans feel about it), it’s the fact that Superman gave up his American citizenship ONLY that bothered me. If he renounced the

  • @227060 entire Earth, ok, but the fact that he singled out America, (like we too evil for even Superman to help), just hurt me personally. Thank you very much for your concern, but don’t worry about offending me! I apologize if I ever said anything to offend you! ^_^ Lol, yea, I love the Stars’ filler the most too. The episode where all the Senshi are at Usagi’s house and transform on the villain, I felt kind of bad for that one; he didn’t have a chance! XD

  • @Usagi393 how to put this. season 3 was my fav season bcos frieza was my fav villain, goku vs frieza is my fav fight and SSJ Goku is maybe the most badass THING ever created. But i think overall the Cell era (seasons 4-6) is my fav era its story had a lot fo cool twists and turns AND it was the only era in which Goku didn't save the day (Gohan did). whiule im meh about Cegeta/Bulma I like how they used it in the Buu era (which was maybe Vegeta's md-life crisis or something :)

  • @227060 i just liked that 1 stars ep for that 1 scene where youve got the villain of the week, the 2 henchgirls, Rei tied up, the other senshi palling around, Uranus and Neptuene, the Starlights and then just Sailor Moon knocking things over with her huge wings all in that 1 tiny kitchen. its priceless. speaking of Superman in my mind Goku and Sailor Moon are perhaps to japan what Superman and Wonder Woman are to America. what do u think tho?

  • @227060 My favorite is season 2 because we learn so much more about Vegeta and the Sayian’s history than what was give to us in season 1. In season 1, Vegeta is just a generic bad guy after the Dragon Balls, blah blah, we have seen that plot before in Dragon Ball. In season 2, however, we learn that Vegeta is basically being held hostage and has been forced to be Frieza’s slave under the threat of death. I felt really bad for Vegeta, and it put him in a sympathetic light for me. I don’t condone

  • @Usagi393 season 2 does start to develop Vegeta beyond a fairly typical (tho very well done) DB bad guy. it was sorta like they did for vegeta what they'd done for piccolo in season 1 only it took much much longer and unlike Piccolo Vegeta never became straight up nice really

  • @227060 his actions of course, but I understood his character a lot better. Under those conditions, it’s hard to say what anybody would do to get away from Frieza. True, Gohan defeated Cell, but, to me, Gohan is just an extension of Goku, so even though Gohan won, he shared the credit with Goku, so it was like both of them defeated him. The Buu Saga was definitely something like Vegeta’s mid-life crisis, but the problem I had with that, is it was left open. Vegeta had his little breakdown, he

  • @Usagi393 im sorry friend i think Goku was there in spirit but Gohan was the one who actually finished off Cell, it was his victory (altho the other Z fighters did help out). i think basically it was all said in the kid buu saga vegeta accepted goku was better than him and learned to live with it. i think they still sparred (going on the 2008 special) but they weren't out and out rivals trying to kill each other anymore. GT sucked balls it reverted Vegeta to his old ways but wil a bad haircut...

  • @227060 turned good, and then what? After Buu was defeated, I was under the impression Vegeta had finally let go of his hatred for Goku and they became friends, but ten years passed, and then Goku left, and when never got to see how their friendship worked out! We had 200+ episodes to see their BITTER rivalry, I would have liked to see their FRIENDLY rivalry, like how brothers act. And they didn’t even touch that in DBGT! They went with Goku and Pan, which is just another example of how much

  • @Usagi393 iv always felt they had good IDEAS in GT or at least idea which i could why they THOUGHT they were good. eg Baby vegeta was a very good idea give us a third and final Goku/Vegeta fight which is sorta an upgrade of their first 1 (great ape vs normal man) but not by making Vegeta bad again. it was just executed really badly (Galick Gun can destroy Earth but Super Galick Gun from a golden ozaru needs multiple hits wtf)

  • @227060 they throw Goku at us! What were the point of Sailor Moon’s wings in Stars? Can she fly with them? Otherwise, I always thought that was her most ridiculous looking outfit. As much as I hated SuperS, her Super outfit was always my favorite. I can see the Superman/Goku comparison, but not the Wonder Woman/Sailor Moon one. Wonder Woman and Sailor Moon represent two very different super hero tropes. Diana is the warrior woman, Usagi is the lover first and the fighter second. The two

  • @Usagi393 i read somewhere she can actually use the wings to fly...but just doesn't for some reason (they look cool tho imo along with the overall Eternal look) unless her angel wings at the end of SuperS and the Star Finale are those wings...then that'd make sense. my fav uniform was probably the R 1, i liked the S one too (the trans sequence is my fav) but S's costume despite tying in well to the theme of hearts didn't have enough Moons for me...

  • @227060 properties are also aimed at different audiences. Wonder Woman is for people who like super heroics and action from a strong older woman. Sailor Moon is for people who like young friends triumphing over evil and getting the boy (although, they do both use their tiaras as weapons.) Goku/Superman have very similar origins, motivations, audiences, and personalities. They also each have similar fighting style and attacks and are known for being extremely powerful, but

  • @227060 having one weakness: Superman-kryptonite and Goku-shots (although Goku’s needle phobia is probably more for comedic effect than a REAL weakness like Superman’s is.) Sorry that was so long, but that’s just my opinion! ^_^ What do you think?

  • @Usagi393ok sorry i wasn't clear. while there are certain similarlties btwen Sailro Moon and Wonder Woman (princesses etc) what i meant was within the West Superman and Wonder Woman are regarded as the definitive Male and female superheores (at least in comics) and in Japan Goku and Sailor moon hold that distinction respectivly, thats what i meant (hence the awkard fanfiction pairings of Goku and Usagi...weird)

  • @227060 Oh, I am sorry! Yea, I completely misunderstood you. I can see Superman and Wonder Woman being the Western ideals for superheroes, like how Goku and Sailor are the Eastern ideals. Superman/WW are definitely more headstrong and brazen in their dealings, while Goku/SM tend to be more polite and humble in theirs, which I think just represents the differences in culture between the two. Actually, I have seen a lot of Goku/Usagi pairings, (and it IS weird), as well as a lot of Vegeta/Rei

  • @Usagi393 hard to say what Vegeta’s feelings are. I don’t personally believe it, (I see their later relationship more like a brotherly one), but pple interrupt art/literature differently, so whatever floats your boat! ^_^ Yea, the ideas in GT were good, (the Baby arc always reminded of the OVA though), but they WERE just poorly executed. OMG, I don’t know WHY they cut Vegeta’s hair! The very 1st time I saw GT Vegeta, I didn’t recognize him, it was such a change! And the worst part, it was never

  • @Usagi393 sigh some fans are weird about stuff like that. i mean i saw a Chibiusa Trunks pairing once wtf shes underage. i also saw a Sailor Jupiter Master Roshi pairing...wel i say pairing she waas hitting him while he attempted to grope her but hey at least thats in characetr for both of them

  • @227060 pairings. Usagi/Rei are SORT of like Goku/Vegeta, in a less intensive, watered down version of it, but I can see the similarities, especially during G/V’s later years. During DBZ ,when G/V are inside Buu and are teasing each other a lot of the way, and during DBGT, when they are fighting Omega Shenron, and they are bickering about their fusion, that reminded me A LOT of Usaig/Rei(and later Chibi-usa’s) bickering. I have also seen a lot of Goku/Vegeta pairings, which I can

  • @Usagi393 i always preferred Usagi/rei bickerings to |Usagi/Chibi-usa bickering dunno why, maybe its bcos u got to see Rei care for Usagi a bit more. 1 of my all time fav moments in Stars is when Rei discovers Mamoru hasn't been writing to Usagi (hes dead so not his fault) and shes so concerned about it. i actually prefer thier Anime relationship to the manga one. also Vegeta's tash...need i say more

  • @227060 sort of see, and sort of not see. In the Buu Saga, Goku’s feelings for Vegeta are definitely shown when he refuses to fire the Spirit Bomb at Buu because it would result in the death of Vegeta. Even though Goku could wish Vegeta back, he doesn’t have the heart to fire the EXACT SAME attack at Vegeta that he wanted to when they first met, which I think shows how much Goku has come to care for Vegeta. Problem w/ Vegeta though, is that we don’t have any evidence that he cares a/b Goku the

  • @Usagi393 i think while u are right we must also consider Goku probably wouldn'tve fired if it was pretty much anyone who didn't deserve it but the symmetary to their first encounter is interesting very thought of that. friend Vegeta's idea of fatherly affection is KOing his son. i think not wanting to beat Goku to a pulp is his equivilent of I LOVE YOU MAN

  • @227060 way Goku does him. You could argue in DBGT, when they were fighting Omega Shenron, and Vegeta thought Goku was dead, he seemed genuinely upset that Goku could be dead, which could hint that Vegeta had grown to care about Goku. Also, the fact that Goku left the leadership role of protecting the Earth to Vegeta, and not Gohan or Goten, proves to me that, Goku at least, had a lot of respect and love for Vegeta. But Vegeta’s character isn’t that well developed in GT compared to Z, so it’s

  • @Usagi393 u kidding. vegeta's characetr in GT is outright reversing his character development

  • @227060 explained and neither was his mustache! Was he trying to look like his father? That doesn’t explain cutting his hair though, unless he was going through a mid-life crisis (again) or something, or it was supposed to symbolize his transition to a more Earth/human themed Vegeta. But I wouldn’t think Vegeta would let anything happen to his hair, especially after he explained that a Sayian’s hair doesn’t change from the day he is born, so he is changing something that he was born with, like

  • @227060 his tail, and something that probably reminded him of his father. I mean, he wasn’t particularly impressed with his father, but he respected him and he was his only friend before he was killed (we know Vegeta did NOT like Nappa), so I was really surprised he would get rid of something that undoubtedly reminded Vegeta of his father. I don’t know, but I just can’t see him willing to do that.

  • @Usagi393 i think Vegeta's opinion of his father did go beyond respect afterall his father imparted his will to become the ebst there was and a super saiyan, 1 could say by doing that he was trying to live up to his dad. ontop of that he mentioned Frieza's murder of his father when he was dying. additonally his father clearly cared for him since Frieza held Vegeta ransom to prevent his dad attacking him, the King only did attack him in a rescue mission

  • @227060 Hey, I was thinking, do you want to continue this conversation through private message? If you still feel like talking that is. I don’t mind still talking, (I haven’t found too many people who like Sailor Moon and the DB franchise, so I am enjoying it), but I was thinking that I have filled up the comment with my babble enough already. ^_^

  • @Usagi393 yes that'd be fine with me

  • R means Romance

  • @xNekobellx it can also stand for Return and in the case of the R Movie, Roses I guess. hell after i saw the opening for the first time i just said the R stands for Rocks. Equally i felt the Se stood for 'Sweet dude' or Superspecialawsome

  • THEY NEED TO MAKE MORE SAILOR MOON EPISODES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • feels like home

  • im always high when i hear this song, hell yeah sailooor moon *starts singing*

  • My favorite was R, then classic, SailorSupperS, SailorStars, then sailorS.

for some reason, I started on R, and I really like that best!

  • My fave part of this vid is 0;56

  • Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon R!

  • Oh this bring back my childhood memories

  • Wears alen and ann

  • @Usagi393 Absolutely!! R is soo overrated and I had a hard time deciding between it versus SuperS for the worst (now that I really think about it, id probably change my order...) Supers and Stars are classic! and the 1st season has a great rewatchable quality to it :) love it! Although I think i like the R opening the best :P

  • @lyndyfu1124 Wow, I am so sorry; I know you replied back two months ago, but YT never told me you commented back! I am so sorry if it looked like I ignored you! Anyway, yea, I agree that even though Classic has more filler episodes than actual plot content, it still re-watchable for some reason :P The filler episodes in SuperS for example, just bothered me so much! I don’t know why either! Maybe it was b/c the whole plot of that season was just awful to begin with

  • @lyndyfu1124 and now the filler episodes are going to suck too? Maybe if it had a good plot, I could have overlooked the bad filler. I like Supers just b/c it’s a little more dark and serious than the previous seasons and I am just personally a fan of that type of anime. Stars I liked, but there were so many things that confused me or were just plain old plot holes, that it kind of bothered me. And I don’t even want to get started on how much I don’t like R & SuperS and how wrong they were! ^_~

  • Oops! Sorry, I meant sense.

  • @TuxedoComplex I always figured it meant returns, but I just read stauri89's comment and revenge makes since.

  • Am I the only one that thinks that it looks like Usagi punches Mamoru at :39? And R stands for Returns/Romance I think, I know it's definitely not ribbon. Anyways! This is my favorite opening, it almost seems sad up until :55, as if Usagi isn't happy about being Sailor Moon which I think is something they should have included in the story. It'd be a pretty tough job, it's a bit unrealistic that she doesn't angst over it.

  • @TuxedoComplex my friend, i looked up at the wiki about the R and it said that R may mean revenge. it gives a reference about it in the R movie though, it had nothing to do with the plot or the thems song of the movie. simple reference. revenge about ''as the major part of the serie's plot is about the revenge of the Black Moon Clan on Earth, because they were expelled from the planet''. all the information comes from wiki.

  • And now we can conclude that "R" stands for "ribbon"

  • 1. Stars

    2. S

    3. classic

    4. R

    5. SuperS

  • @lyndyfu1124 It's nice to see someone other than me doesn't rate R high either! As for me, I liked Supers, then Classic, then Stars, then R, and finally SuperS. However, I often have trouble deciding which one I dislike more, R or SuperS, they were both kind of equally disappointing IMO.

  • so that's where all that psychedelic stuff from the American and German openings come from...

  • alguien tien msn

  • I think the 4th season has the best opening

  • Moonlight Densetsu is a classic! I really like the sailor Stars song but they never should have changed it :(

  • really wats the point of having the first 4 seasons with moonlight denetsu and then the fifth with sailor stars. i like that opening theme 2

  • @Makisina11 They changed it because Sailor Stars is a completley different series from the other 4 seasons :3

  • @Makisina11 as a piece of music i think the stars song is better. but this song IS Sailor Moon. maybe they coul've made the stars song an insert song or something for the sake of consistency. either way both songs are great

  • Ashita no Nadja?

  • Pedo-Bear?

  • haha

  • were is pedo bear ??????

  • full moon wo sagashite?

  • I just wish they never changed the Sailor Stars opening, they should've kept it same.

  • aw cmon the last seasons opening was great! and then on the final episode they did a nice throw back to this version in its ending song. i miss this show ;( just for the hell of it they should make one more season! or at least a final conclusion movie!

  • All the openings have the same song just the opening images are different

  • Except the last opening.

This opening here is my most favorite opening :D

  • great thanks
