@TheRJSunday union is a 80 min game with 60 mins of action and 20 mins of penalty kicks, reset scrums and lineouts. league is non-stop. i played both but in league you can't stop fighting in a tackle and in union you can get away with falling to the ground. i like union but love league.

the athletes in rugby and nfl are completly different, nfl players woudnt last 15mins and they would be had it in rugby you cant bulk up to much in rugby like nfl players you need endurance in rugby, rugby is about split decitions and quick thinking every play. nfl players get time to pick plays and set defences, they havnt trained or done the right weights for the sport or for pecific positions, 2 completely different games in so many ways its ridiculous to compare players

I play rugby and I played football in high school, rugby is more physically demanding but I also believe that virtually any nfl skill player could play rugby. Although there are some supreme physical specimens in rugby there I have a lot of trouble believing that if Adrian Peterson played rugby he wouldn't be dominate.
