Double tapping is not about teaching but about practice. You have to practice to give the fingers with no strengh enough dexterity and strengh to play it. The best teacher in the world or a tab will make no difference in learning to do that, so having the guy showing off during his video instead of "teaching" is no problem imo.

@gogeta96 There is no special guitar for tapping. You can do it even on an acoustic of your technique is strong enough. The thing is where you HAMMER the note, you have to do it in a percussive manner, quite hard. As when you pull off, you have to kind of pull the string down but quickly release it so that is doesn't sound like a normal bend.
