i used to race a greyhound called rock on tommy, he was known as a chaser he would be leading the race when out in front he would drop back behind the other dogs then take the lead again you coldnt put big bets on him the only time he won was when he took the lead on the winning line. purely by chance always kept you on the edge of your seat.but won an easter race and cup purely by chance .it was amusing to watch ,i was told to enter him in a longer race to stop him playing 650 mtrs still same

please don't support this! i was watching an animal program and the investigators where called to a greyhound race track because the loosing dog had been abandoned because he had lost. the dogs don't get given much food to eat and when the dogs become sick they don't want to pay for their vet bills so they dump them somewhere. some are whipped and tortured. others are have the worst life possible for a dog

Uhm, you're thinking of dog FIGHTS, not dog RACES. These dogs are worth 5-digit sums, and at least in the case of my adopted dog, fed raw rabbit every day, given tons of socialization, excellent medical attention, and in general treated like hmmm.... racing horses?

@AwesomeCheeseburger I haven't encountered an adopted greyhound yet that hasn't had some kind of disease, sickness, or evidence of mistreatment upon being rescued from the tracks. My own adopted greyhound has several small scars on its body and came off the track with a minor sickness and was underweight. I don't know where you got you're dog but I have never heard of any kind of treatment like that from greyhounds at all. I suspect you live in a really conscious area or you are lying.
