Brilliant song but whats it called? I never knew our Stookie aka Mik Witnall was such a good singer aswel as guitarist!! We love him at Camp Shambles :)
Oh, great Band. One of the best concerts i have ever seen - Bremen 1993 maybe 1994, together with Durango 95. The People here still talking 'bout this Concert. With two great Bands, Skins, Punks and Hippies. It was a great pleasure. Greetings from Bremen and the "Friesen-Concert-Crew".
Saw these guys in The Swan in Drogheda the early nineties, some fekers tea leafed their guitars and they they had to borrow the support bands.I remember them doing a ska'd up version of Sam Cookes Wonderful World .It was so bloody brill the lads had to perform it twice.Never forget it thanx for the memories and thanx very much for the uploads Lolly.
I played with OHM (Bass) for a while - we still lived in Donny then, but were playing all over.... Then - we moved to London! I stuck it out for a bit, then I buggered off back to Donny! Still see Jud, Cal and Ira from time to time. When we counted how many people had been in the band, there had been about 40 odd members by the time I left - probably as many since!!
Mik was always going to do well for himself - too talented for Babyshambles!!
@sandracer17 hi i remember teh boys mentionned you ;) stig is in tokyo his gf got in touch with me cant remember if its on myspace of facebook find me lydia fischer london or myspace lydialolly add me as a friend and add her she is called mio but ..her name is different on the site i will forward it to you stig has no northern accent anymore...he called me a few yrs ago ..b4 mick's fame ;)
Yes Pulsar, they were from Donny, we Dj'd for them and The Special Beat at Sheffield City Hall in 1991, they used to send us demos, but they have got lost along the way, pity cos they were really good, glad its worked out for Stig tho!!!
one night their guitar man did n;t make it,so they asked me to stand in at the alternative madness gig george robey,i had to learn their music in their soundcheck, very good night
Wow,this is great! I remember seeing 100 Men in the early 90's at the Porterhouse in Retford. They were supporting Pauline Black + The Selector. The place was heaving + full of skinheads, great atmosphere although i was black and blue from dancing :) Infact i have a promotional disc somewhere.Think it was called 'Time is Tight' I was damn certain they were a Donny(Doncaster) band though?as i was working there at the time.Would love to see more of these or even to know if they were still going?Paul
Dude, with all due respect.... of course they are not still going! The lead singer, Mik Whitnall, is now a heroin addict and is now the (shit, passionless and comotose) lead guitarist in the band Babyshambles with Pete Doherty. Who are of course one of the countries biggest bands.
Yeah and I was the only person to reply you ungrateful bugger! well you know now. Oh and im no heroin addict, but I am a 'yank'. or a 'Yanker' if you want ;-)
i used to know Lydia the sax player, she played sax in a band i played bass in around the mid 90's,she was/is a great sax player.100 Men used to do a cracking version of Fatman.
i should say to clarify that I was born in Doncaster & lived for too long in Epworth, so i'm in a position to say for certain that these places (and many villages, hamlets & towns in the locality) should be made mute (or infertile)
does anyone know the name of the song?

what's the meaning of one hundred man?
huggyshow 4 years ago
ohm was a form of acid tab, back in the day. One Hundred Men was a play on the tabs letters. Mistery of the name solved...

Nobody from Doncaster (or Epworth or anywhere near Scunthorpe) should be allowed to sing, in fact, they should be put down.
It would be better for everyone

Mik is from Scawthorpe and he's not as bad a singer as this suggests. He is a very good guitarist.
