Nope. I have my laptop at 100% volume right near the mic of the camera and the amp about 4-5 feet from the camera.

i understood how to explain the right way of playing.

imagine that your 1 and 2 fingers are feet of a guy :) and your string is a body of tree (not great comparison but whatever). you don't kick the tree, you try to make it roll. you don't pull string to break it, you need to touch it slightly, to make it "roll".. and - the most important thing - your hand must stay relaxed ALL the time, otherwise you can't play fast songs like run to the hills.

It's actually a little more than half down. That's the way it is on the CD. This recording was from the BBC Archives Friday Night Rock Show from the late 70's. It's just tuned like that.

Considering I haven't played on anything but a P-Bass, I couldn't really tell you the which is better. I do like my Squier a lot. Feels a little cheap at the knobs and the cable input. I still love playing on it though. Am hoping to save up enough to get an actual Fender P-Bass.

I honestly couldn't tell you where your hand should be. Wherever is comfortable should be the only thing to matter.
