OMG! I am soooo here right now. I could just cry. I took my Maltese to the groomer today. I knew he had some matting. So I expected the groomer to go low. OMGGG!! Not this damn low. The tear/stain remover Is called Angel Eyes, it works..just kinda pricey 20 bucks for a small bottle...you put some of the brown powder in you pet's food everyday and after a month or two you decrease the amount you put to a few times a week. They love it and wont even realize it's in their food. The bad thing about it is that it's an antibiotic and it's like giving your dog antibiotic everyday for a few months. They will be less likely to have irritated sking around the eyes or an infection!

I know a trick for giving a puppy clip. My Westie hates hair cuts. I learned this trick while trimming his hair. Just hold on hand over the body with as you can sticking up between you fingers, then trim the hair to your hand. This works on the head too. The hair will be fairly uniform in length and you will not accidently cut the puppy or poke them with the siccors..

It still a cute dog, the hair will always grow back, but I think it is good for them to get a good cut every now and then. Even more so if they are prone to mat bad. As long as we don't hurt them in the process they will be okay.

Aw, he still looks cute! My puppy, Shiki, has fluffy and alot of hair that falls into her eyes, that she'll growl at you if you try to tie up or cut. She had alot of matts because I neglected grooming her. So my daddy took her to petsmart for a grooming.
