Is this really a garbage truck, or are you picking up recycling. In my area, blue means recycling cans, though I understand that it must be different. There are just so many recyclable things, and I feel I hardly see any real trash being dumped in there (like food waste, etc.).
Yes, it is a garbage truck and everything I pick up with it is considered garbage, though you are correct in your observation of much recyclable material going out with the trash.

Well...Different types of tippers leave different kinds of scrathches/dirt/grease markings on the lift pocket and latch bar area...I was just wondering what the front of the carts looked like after multiple uses with the tipper on your truck.
Usually two loads a day,sometimes a third load in the summer,but during the really cold winter months I can often get my two smaller days in one load.Small day consists of about 420 stops,and if it isnt running too heavy I can get it done by 10:15 am.I start route at 6 am..
Big day is almost 700 stops,fastest time ive completed it was 6hrs and 45 min.Considering im picking up amounts that in other places would be seperated for diffferent trucks,that is about as fast as I can possibly go.
In the summer when people are throwing out tons of yardwaste and cleaning out their garages and basements,etc, it takes longer,and every day is at least two loads.Plus, a trip to the transfer station adds a solid hour to my day.

Lol I didnt even realize that until I watched the video.Its secured pretty tightly.I have dropped that camera about a half dozen times since I bought it though,and it got smacked with something another time. Its held up well so far.
Ive crushed big chunks of concrete before,it can break concrete apart but if its something more solid than that its just going to push into the rest of the trash without breaking it.
Another fantastic vid!! I really like it how you take a vid from the side of the truck, and then join it together with the video thaken from the camera you have put in the hopper of it emptying!! Is it very hard to do that?
I only have one camera so what I did was put it on the side of the truck for awhile and then moved it to the hopper,so unfortunately the trash you see come out isnt the trash from the sideview angle,but i put together ones that were similar,and its all from the same neighborhood.

Yep,it was a box of records.That can at 4:55 was about 80 lbs or so.I dont like those tall 50 gallon cans like that,people tend to put too much heavy stuff in them.I would prefer that people were limited to using 30 gallon cans only for their extra trash.
