I can't help but notice the pedal layout, with the accelerator being further over to the right and more towards the seat? What's the deal with this? :o
My Mum had one of these years ago - they are pretty fun cars - although ours got rear ended and was never the same :( good how there was a boot at the front and a conventional one too - just out of interest what was the quote for a 17 yr old@ as im 18 and looking at getting something... are they quite expensive? and no word of a lie my grandma once slammed the door that hard the door came clean off its hinges! she was used to a 1980 saab 900i!!

I really want one! I even got the insurance down to a reasonable amount (I'm 17 so its expensive ¬.¬) The only concern for me is my height...I'm around 6 foot 5 so many cars are a struggle for me.
Do you think I could squeeze into one? The interior looks quite roomy considering how small the car is...
@krisjambon I'm 6ft with size 14 shoes! Lol yes you will fit, just. You'll have to fold yourself in though, luckily the steering wheel is small so that helps with leg room. Recline seat so your head doesn't hit roof and take your shoes off or you'll hit all 3 pedals at the same time! Apart from that, its a fun car!
Hi there...Beautiful Bis! I have two questions. I had a bis 1990 made, with exactly the same engine layout and it was registered for 628cc engine. And yours is 704cc. Second, i couldn't see the choke lever between the front seats. Was it still there :) I loved bis and now driving a 92 Daihatsu...Not the same taste but, lovely car...Uh, also, performs great on snow/ice mix! Thanks for this beautiful baby!
@sizenevermatters I am no expert on the 126, but i think the BIS was only a 704CC, the other 2 smaller engines were aircooled only. And yes, the choke lever is still there between the seats! I've had a few Daihatsu's too, very good 3 cylinder engines and very reliable
Wow, amazing condition and such a nice color. I am generally a fan of much bigger cars but the 126 has something extra, I am seriously thinking about buying one this spring... I bet it's really fun to drive in the city. What kind of MPG are you getting, I've heard 50 for mixed driving.
@cl3mens Thanks. I have not used the car at all yet, i bought it because it was in good nick and locked it away in the garage! I do plan on using it when the weather improves. It is fun to drive, so basic like a mini. I can imagine 50 MPG would be easy to achieve in such a small car, maybe more.
Please I'll swap with you for my Mitsubishi Eclipse, 2.0 Turbo GSX All Wheel Drive, 195hp and just 109,146 miles on clock! car is red, after little upgrade with air filter and new Recaro Seats, can go up to 39 miles per gallon and its insured up to April 2011. I'm polish and I would like to have this Machine, because its Legendary for us (Polish community) and it will be very welcoming to see it on London Street. Mitsubishis Condition is Brilliant no scratch nothing. I hope you'll reply. Thanks.
i love the engine of them also when i was there were loads of fso polonez and fiat 125p made in poland first they where polski fiat 125p then FSO 125P
i went to warsaw in poland and i saw so many fiat 126p they call them maluch which means small and they are loads of the ones from 1990s when they call them fiat 126p and they called them polski fiat 126p before 1990
Nice- imagine what kind of gas mileage he's getting.
