@holycwap I think your missing the point of the song which is in the verse "For when we lose our selfish pride and fall down on our knees I lift my hands and say to you your all I need" it is THEN that we call out to him. The point of the song is that Jesus is always there but its us as sinners that choose not to call out his name. "Glory to you in the highest place...Jesus, shout out his name, and he will come to you" (it's basically salvation in a nutshell)

I agree, that's why I asked you in love to share scripture to support your critical comments. But you chose not to offer any. That is fine but please let's remember that the Bible also says to speak the truth in love. Even if you were correct in your position (which I still can't find any scripture to support) ...the Bible says to speak the truth in love. (Ephesians 4:15) (1 Cor 13 says love is patient and kind...not rude...) Please remember this as you continue to evaluate other's ministries.

actually the burden of proof lies with you. prove that God accepts such drivel as worship. also you must realize that the criticism is directed at the song and not the hearts of the people. if you cannot separate the two, then there is a bigger problem than is being addressed here. and keep in mind that all worship MUST be in Spirit and in Truth....energized by the Spirit of God and according to the Truth of Scripture. I don't think He appreciates being likened to your butler or puppy dog.

ok I will play along. I will share my thoughts in love and will include scripture. I hope you will reply in love and will also include scripture instead of just passionate opinion. Your only indirect mention of scripture was John 4, (spirit and truth) Worship is an outward expression of an inward devotion made possible by relationship. I would propose James 4:8 and Luke 15: 11-32 to support what I am saying. Jesus used the parable to show us the Father's heart which runs with love to receive us.

Hearts were not the subject of the critique and again the words of the song are the problem. if you want to include those bits of scripture as a basis for the song, then where is the repentance? and to whom is it offered? both references assume repentance to a Holy God! the problem is that the song could be sung about a dog, a lover, or a butler or ?? but how would you know when there isn't enough TRUTH context\content in the song to tell. apparently you have an emotional attachment to it
