It's a thankless job, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. But I'm glad I played a part in saving and helping many children. Not many workers last more than three years.

I was abused when i was little. I'm 32 years old now but when i was 8 i was molested by my grandfather and when i told my dad he didn't believe me. He called me a liar and he treated me like shit for years after that. But when my grandfather died the truth came out and my life was broken for many years until i was 29 years old. All my uncles and aunts , everyone one quit talking to me. I was the victim but i was treated like the monster. I felt worthless but now I have a good support system

He left my mother for someone half his age, with 2 little girls; he's now a reg sex offender cause he did it to them...

I am a grown woman now, but was sexually abused when I was a teen. What angers me so much is that my mother is still married to the monster. I was also abused verbally by the same man who molested me, my mother and my step-mother could be very verbal at times too. I know this goes on all over America and the world. This is why if I ever wanted kids, I'd adopt them. There are plenty of kids, who are saved from abusive households, that are looking for a good home. I know that if I adopt a child that was rescued from abuse, I'd give them a loving home. Abusive parents and guardians should be locked away in jail for life. Our government, teachers, and student counselors need to get up and do a lot better to protect ANY abuse victim, whether they're men, women, or children.

my friend talks about how her parents abused her and she told the police & they didnt do anything. she also tried to run away but she only got into more trouble & some of my friends parents dont even let there kids hangout with her becuz they think shes a troublemaker & they dont know whats going on, when shes only trying to escape from it. she was also sexually abused by her brother & she still has to live with him. it upsets me and idk if it still goes on, but this video was amazing Stevie =)

My step dad abused me. When you're abused it's just a life of pain. You feel trapped and your home becomes a cage. My mom knew it was going on and she didn't do anything until I was 15. We filed a report but the cops didn't do anything either. the only thing that happened was he was kicked out of the house but i still see him and he comes over to the house. It sickens me to know that my ma allows him over here and i have terrible memories from it......

Can you be a foster parent? There are not enough foster homes and so they can't take all the kids, they have to rely on family and friend when abuse is reported and here on youtube the was a baby that her grandma took care of her when she was taken from her mom and between the two of them, the little girl died. I have one main rule in my family kids come first. You have every right and reason to be upset, your a good person.

Our society has to open our eyes to such horrific acts - know the warning signs of abuse/neglect/assault. If you suspect something is foul, make the call ... even if it's anonymous. Trust me, I worked for Child Protective Services - immediate repsonse unit - for two years, referrals come in like they are on a conveyor belt. Like Lucy and Ethel at the chocolate factory. It's a thankless job, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. But I'm glad I played a part in saving and helping many children. Not many workers last more than three years.

I was abused when i was little. I'm 32 years old now but when i was 8 i was molested by my grandfather and when i told my dad he didn't believe me. He called me a liar and he treated me like shit for years after that. But when my grandfather died the truth came out and my life was broken for many years until i was 29 years old. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I wanted to say thank you for making this video. I remember watching this when you first posed it and it helped me through a dark stretch.
In my own experience, I found that when you're young no one will believe you but when you're older no one wants to listen. It was very comforting to see someone angry about this when I was convinced everyone's solution was just to turn their backs.

This is why if I ever wanted kids, I'd adopt them. There are plenty of kids, who are saved from abusive households, that are looking for a good home. I know that if I adopt a child that was rescued from abuse, I'd give them a loving home. Abusive parents and guardians should be locked away in jail for life. Our government, teachers, and student counselors need to get up and do a lot better to protect ANY abuse victim, whether they're men, women, or children.

my friend talks about how her parents abused her and she told the police & they didnt do anything. she also tried to run away but she only got into more trouble & some of my friends parents dont even let there kids hangout with her becuz they think shes a troublemaker & they dont know whats going on, when shes only trying to escape from it. she was also sexually abused by her brother & she still has to live with him. it upsets me and idk if it still goes on, but this video was amazing Stevie =)

when i was younger i used to have shit like this happen to me my mom and step dad was alcoholics and they used to beat me and so did my 2 sisters, i used to get dragged by my hair, i got pushed down the stairs, my mom used to put my hands on the hot burners on the stove when i would touch something i wasnt supposed to it was hell but im grown and i can handle my own, back then there was nothin i could do cause they would all stick together and say nothing was going on

My step dad abused me. When you're abused it's just a life of pain. You feel trapped and your home becomes a cage. My mom knew it was going on and she didn't do anything until I was 15. We filed a report but the cops didn't do anything either. the only thing that happened was he was kicked out of the house but i still see him and he comes over to the house. It sickens me to know that my ma allows him over here and i have terrible memories from it......

I haven't been a victim of abuse and I can't imagine how difficult it is for you to be in that situation, but you have to tell your mother how you feel about him visiting. It's damaging to your mental health and it must put a strain on the relationship with your mother. Please be honest with her. Please. Loca is right, we have to stop these monsters from getting away with abuse.

A lot of these kids will do the same to their children, when they r older.
If you want to do something, keep your eye wide open. Because there are signs in kids behavior.
if you look away, they will get no psychological therapy and will do the same to their kids cause they are used to this.

my best friend gets abused....his father beats him alot and one day he came to school with both of his eyes punched with bloody marks which are now scars. he cant call child protection on im because theyd lose child support...its just so sad seeing him like that and the fact his own FATHER can hit him like that blows my mind. how could you ever touch your own CHILD like that...some people are such monsters...

Yes, and don't forget that porn actors were sexually abused children that are now acting out the "dirtiness" that they experienced as children. When you watch porn you are promoting the continuance of child abuse. If you have watched it before then you may have noticed that the actors are disconnected from what is actually happening, no one cares about each other, and the younger the better. Make a choice not to watch that and have real relationships based on human connection.

Abused children don't know that there is something wrong. Abusive parents don't teach their victims to run away or call for help.
These people don't realize that there are people to talk to. So my suggestion to those that want to do what they can to stop child abuse is very simple:
Don't be a stranger. People suffer in silence when there is no one to hear their cries.

my mom grew up in an abusive household. she, her brothers, and her mom were brutally beaten everyday.
i couldn't imagine having your life threatened everyday, and it's no joke.

it makes me cry too because there are sooo many kids out here that are being abused most likely everyday and i cant do anything about it..cant even help them:'(...i had the same problem when i was young but now im all grown up and it makes me sad because it reminds me when i was little and its hard to see other kids being treated the same wayT_T

Can you be a foster parent? There are not enough foster homes and so they can't take all the kids, they have to rely on family and friend when abuse is reported and here on youtube the was a baby that her grandma took care of her when she was taken from her mom and between the two of them, the little girl died. I have one main rule in my family kids come first. You have every right and reason to be upset, your a good person.

Uno nunca se olvida, y tampoco se persona que fue y abusó sexualmente de ellas. personas que me vuelve loco cuando dicen cosas estúpidas como "Oh, sólo volaré más", pero no lo hará. The world needs folks, like yourself, to stand up for those who cannot. You've done the right thing by providing resources and letting them know you care. Our society has to open our eyes to such horrific acts - know the warning signs of abuse/neglect/assault. If you suspect something is foul, make the call ... even if it's anonymous. Don't assume someone else will - you may be the only person willing to stand up for them.
