The rat was clearly fed and it appeared to have little stress since it was grooming itself during the test. The only thing that might have made it slightly uncomfortable was the device it was attached to and it's tail being held up, but even that was for it's safety.

Do you know what these tests could possibly do for paralyzed animals and humans in the furture? Great things, I am sure.

If you want to see cruelty to rats go to a pet store.

¿Soy al único que le da pena este maltrato animal? por necesario que sea, dudo que a ningún ser vivo le guste ser utilizado así, aparte de cruel lo veo totalmente innecesario, cualquier persona con esta discapacidad estaría dispuesta a someterse a alguna prueba para remitir su discapacidad, o al menos podría decidir si someterse a ellas o no, los animales no pueden decidir.

So cruel, why don’t you try that experiment on yourself or your family and friends instead of abusing animals?; you got to be a sadist to see suffer an animal and look at it with no feelings. Do you know there are many computer programs that you can use for your experiments that are more accurate than testing and torturing animals?

I'm a scientist working with mice and we ensure they have the best life they can by limiting any pain or discomfort. It's dicks like you who halt scientific progress and ruin it for the rest of humanity. Computer simulations are only as accurate as we program them to be, animal testing is and will always be the way to test treatments.
