Is that you Brian Sewell? I'm sorry I don't understand your arcane terminology. Does anyone have any idea what Brian is saying - does he like my paintings, or not?
@quenchedinlife All creative media require a certain amount of application, and one must put time into any creative pursuits in order to achieve results. I have other creative outlets that fill my other days, and there are of course bills to pay.
I liked it. whats wrong with boring anyway. Boring coastal town paintings reminded me of Morrisseys 'Everyday is like Sunday' you're probably busy painting today to get this comment :)
Yes to me everyday should be like Wednesday, although that would mean I'd be sat in my loft, rather than visiting those bleak seaside towns in search of faded glamour.
Your paintings are interesting but I don't think they wanted an artist whose subject matter was limited to neon lights. the wednesday painter thing was overly pretentious.

thanks for the comment. As for the pretensions: well, I only paint on Wednesdays between 9am and 5.30pm in a tiny, grotty little loft. I have been blogging my internal monologue for the past year, (which no-one reads, as far as I know). At the end of the day I go home to be with my wife and cat. As far as I can see there are no pretensions there, just a description of an average (Wednes)day slightly and knowingly romanticised...
I got it and thought it was hilarious, thanks for posting. :-D

@iheartneon what do you do with the rest of your week?
quenchedinlife 2 years ago
various things that keep me busy and help pay the rent, and others that don't. Why do you ask Mister Sewell?

just wondered why you only work on wednesday, as painting is a difficult medium, one must put much time into it.

I really liked the video... I don't know a damn thing about Modern Art though.

Thanks. You don't need to know a thing about modern art, an opinion is what counts.
