  • Back in 1977 I went to my local record shop and brought Never Mind The Bollocks,Rattus Norvegicus by the Stranglers and Connie Francis-20 Golden Greats.

  • This is one of my favourite pieces of music. First heard the music from the film Dr Zhivago. Went to see it with the school we were all in love with Julie Christie including our English teacher!...smiles. This artist sings this so perfectly - glad she commissioned the lyrics. Love this version.

  • I sang this song for my grandmas funeral (it was her favorite song) when it says,"soft as the kiss of snow) a gust of wind, sprinkled snow on everyone, only at that one part....... I love u grandma! :)

  • I am discovering your post on 9 January 2012. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Also for the wealth of information you provide. Those are things one loves to know. Connie has one of those exceptionally beautiful voices humanity only rarely produces. Ancora tantissime grazie e felice anno 2012! (Happy 2012).

  • After the failure of her first nine demos, MGM was about to drop her. She considered a career in medicine and was about to accept a four-year scholarship offered at New York University. At what was to have been her final recording session for MGM she recorded a cover version of the 1923 song "Who's Sorry Now?"

  • @nominext You are quite right. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of Connie's professional history!

  • Many information on. Grazie.

"dove non so" is the title in italian which Connie has sung and also Rita Pavone sang.

  • @FAUSTORICCARDO Hi, Fausto! I love "Dove Non So." I have that in my video collection somewhere and will add it to my channel eventually - although several other You Tube folks already have it posted. Grazie!
