Hiren boot cd sucks, It fails to load SATA driver of my HDD, and unexpectedly restarts the machine

@TheWhaler1 Well using version 10.0 could Make a difference. what version of Windows are you trying to break into? is this an OEM machine Like a Dell or Hp or is it a custom built pc. if its a custom built pc it May have an EFI boot loader. you can't crack EFI using the boot disk. if its an OEM machine then it should work. But you May have to do things differently depending on what operating system it has on it.

@TheWhaler1 if you pause and look at the list @ 2:32 you see one choice in blue the other in green and the others are white. the Green one is My user account named Matt. it is the one i want to crack so its the one i choose. choice number one so i push #1 on the keyboard. the screen that pops up just momentarily after is asking to verify if this is the correct choice. i pushed enter right away you cant see it unless you pause. then you have 3 more choices. i choose choice #1 logicDR

@MrGizmo757 thanks so much for the quick reply. sorry to be a pain again but i think you are my only hope (all my steps look exactly the same as yours, but i am using hirens 10.0, should this make a difference?)

i get the same green writing with my user account, so hit #1...clear this users password in green selected “X” and password never expires in white also selected “X”, pressing enter does nothing...so I press “Y”..to save, then press any key...then it goes (cont.)

@MrGizmo757 ...goes back to the previous screen just as yours does...then (at 2.29s in your vid) ...i pressed “esc” to get to the same as your screen “There is one MS SAM database, press enter to continue” so i press enter and then back to square 1 with my user name in green etc.

@SuperAbz10 I honestly don't know. i have only used version 9.1 so far. i haven't had the need for the new ones. because i have Switched over to working on Macs. they pay better. LOL! all i can tell you is to google it or something. sorry i don't have a better answer for you. :-(

make a windows 7 partition on your computer, type in

net user administrator /active:yes

log onto admin, then delete all the other accounts and disable the guest account.

afterwards type in

net user administrator /active:no

restart the computer, try to break into that, then put that video up :)

It's actually a pretty quick fix but itll test some general knowledge about windows.

hehe, paid the pretty penny for the better computer I see, I take it you are into graphics or some kind of video or photo editing since you chose mac? That's the most common use for them

@06121990 Yep i do some video and photos. but the main reason i got one is i just like them a lot. I was into Linux a long time But Linux just dose not have the third party support that Mac has. and Mac is as close to Linux as you can get in the commercial world.

I wouldnt exactly call that "hacking", but its still awesomeness. Hirens Boot CD 10.0 is out now, have you fucked around with that yet? It actually includes a mini bootable XP environment!
