To all those who are claiming that a band must be instrumental virtuosos to be "good"...

Music is more than playing an instrument. Shred and Metal can be considered some of the most technically challenging genres of music out there. I, however find it incredibly boring. It is linear, and uninventive. This band was able to write a piece of music with great atmosphere, and depth, and that connects with people on an emotional level. I find this far more important than technical mastery.

I agree they've got too many 'clever' songs that you don't really get much of a buzz from listening to, and you couldn't recognizably cover without just copying the original, but I'm sure they've got some great songs in there
