  • Thank you for posting this. I am a visual person and this is the first tutorial that was super clear. Now I can finish my scarf!. :D Thank you!

  • Thank you for sharing this is such a pretty flower I can see so many projects to incorporate this into. I followed along in a cream color worsted yarn with an F hook. This is going to look so good on the top of a container lid done shabby chic colors. :)

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial and for explaining so good!!! I´m a crochet beginner and I usually have a BIG problem understanding how to make stuff with crochet, but when you explain I actually understand and I´m so happy that you really show closely how to do it. And also, you have such a beautiful voice!!! I enjoy just listening to you explaining this flower =D

Also, would it be possible to make a request for a tutorial on another flower?

  • Hi, I am a beginner to crochet. I followed your tutorial and even though the flower got a bit complex for me I have learned the stitches from watching your video!! The single, double and half crochet! I ended up with only four petals,as i must of counted wrong somewhere lol. But I am so pleased I have learned the stitches.Thank you ;) xx

  • I really liked your video very easy to understand I watched and crochet at the same time with you lol! Loved it I finally made a crochet flower!

  • Thank you for sharing this tutorial. God bless you.

  • I am so excited I actually made a flower. Ive made at 15 blankets but I only know how to do one pattern so to actually make something else definitly puts me in a happy place thank you!

  • This is seriously the one tutorial that saved me from putting my yarn and hook away for the night due to sheer frustration. The flower will be used for my sisters winter headband, and it looks so beautiful with contrasting colors.

Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. I don't think I'll be making flowers any other way. Any way you could have a print pattern done or where I could access it? This is seriously good. I'll send you a picture of the finished thing after I'm done. ^_^

  • For some reason every time I do this, doing the exact same thing you do, I end up with only 4 peddles starting out. On yours there is 5. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  • @QueenGwennie1980

Never mind lol I figured it out

  • @QueenGwennie1980 Yay, Im very happy you figured it out!! :) I hope it gets easier for you from here on out!

  • @QueenGwennie1980 Ugh no fun at all!!! Crossing my fingers for you ;)

    Jeanette :)

  • @mrsnetrix I am so excited for you! Thank you so much and just remember it could be a bit overwhelming at first but sticking to it has many great rewards. It can become SOOOOO addicting!!! ;) Have fun and would love to see some photos!!!

  • This was a wonderful tutorial. The flower made a wonderful addition to the hat I just crocheted. It was very easy to follow! Thanks!

  • @krebelbiscuit I am so happy this helped you! Thank you so much for your feed back it is greatly appreciated and a great big motivator to continue to put out tutorials!!! :)

  • I have a question for you, what's the difference between size 10 and no 3 crochet cotton you used for the red and black flower?

  • @DFG333 Size 10 is a lot thinner then the no. 3 Crochet Cotton.

  • Thanks for your tutuorial. I actually have a written pattern of this and I managed to do the first part and then I just could not understand how to do the underneath part. We those pin, hair grips over here:-)

  • @DFG333 Your welcome, Happy I could help! :)

  • I love this! :):):) Thank you so much!

  • @TheHKJS You are more then welcome! Glad you love it :) Thank you!!!!

  • @DzCrochetCreations I was wondering when you need a crochet hook, or some yarn, which art store do you go to ?

  • @TheHKJS Wal-Mart has them in their craft section. Michaels, Joanns and Hobby all also carry them as well. The hook are always in the same Isle as the yarn at wal-mart and the other stores it may be in a isle after or before the yarn. :) Hope this helps!

  • @DzCrochetCreations yes, it does help!I'll be goin' to the art store tomorrow!!

  • @DzCrochetCreations Oh, yeah where do YOU(and I really mean YOU) buy the crochet thread and what is the brand of the crochet thread?

  • @TheHKJS I usually just get mine from hobby-lobby or wal-mart. Its the crochet Cotten size 10 in a spool of 350 yards. The ones I have from Hobby Lobby is called Aunt Lydia'd Classic Crochet Thread. Wal-Mart also has it a bit cheaper but Im not sure its called the same thing... I also used two different color strands held together. Hope this helps!!

  • @DzCrochetCreations Thank you soooooooooooo much!!! :):):)

  • @TheHKJS Ha ha your welcome!! Did you find the yarn and make something??? :)

  • @DzCrochetCreations yeah... i just searched some amigurumi vids!! can you make some amigurumi vids? thanks!! :):):)

  • This is great. I've watched many a flower tutorial and I've never seen anyone do the two double crochets in the skipped stitches before. It's typically just the single and chain 3 at the back.

  • @CynthiaNoel I have to agree with you, I havnt seen a whole lot worked in the skipped stitches either! :)

  • great video so easy to follow by any chance can you show me how to read a pattren thanks for the video

  • @shona550 Hi, sorry for just getting back to you.. Thank you so much, im super happy it is easy to follow. I will def try to throw something together as far as helping you read a pattern. The most important thing it to memorize the abbreviation of each word... For example if it says ch then you know that means chain. If you at all possible feel free to message me with some ideas of what kind of pattern you would like help with! Thanks again :)

  • Nice tutorial! I am not a crocheter but I am working on a shawl my friend taught me. I am a scrapbooker. Thought it would be nice to make some flowers. I was taught how to do the single, double, triple crochet but I couldn't quite make out the half double I think you called it. If you could show me how to do that one. Very nice tutorial though.

  • @Barbef59 Hi, I would love to show you how to do the half double crochet (hdc) stitch. I will be getting more of the beginner stitches on a tutorial, thank you for all your feedback it is greatly appreciated! :)

  • How do I upload picture I made ear rings

  • @MsNessha1 I am not to sure. Do you have a facebook account? If so you can upload a photo there on my page at htt://facebook.com/dzcrochetcreations2. Or maybe if you hit upload here on youtube you may be able to upload it that way? I would LOVE to see them!! That is a great idea!!!
