In my opinion everything went wrong after Sargon 'the great' (2400 B.C.). He was the first war monger. It went then from Sargon to Saddam all wrong.

Sumerians are the original people of Iraq, Sumerians from Baghdad to Basra and Kurds in the north.

So official languages of Iraq should be Sumerian and Kurdish, not Arabic, because Iraqi Arabs are really arabized Sumerians, especially the Marsh Arabs.

I think that in the future Iraqi Arabs will switch from arabic to sumerian.

No they are not, The Arabs invaded Iraq from Arabia and turned the REAL Assyrians and made them convert to Islam and made them think they are Arabs, Kurds shouldn't even be in Iraq, they are an Iranian people, IRANIAN, NOT IRAQI.....

not all Assyrians converted to Islam, some stayed Christian, Timurlane the Mongol ravaged and killed all Muslim Assyrians, the Christian Assyrians survived by moving up north to Tur Abdin.

@narrowcross Heritage too, when Muhammad conquered Mesopotamia from the 2nd Persian empire (Sassanids) many Arabs migrated to Iraq while we were a Majority in what is now Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, then when Timurlane decimated Assyrian population, many other Arabs decided to migrate into those empty spaces while we tried to rebuild our population, but intolerable Muslims kept killing us off, or stealing our women through kidnappings.
