Well, at least cartoon network has a few shows that say otherwise, and simpsons and south park etc is around there... In south africa there have hardly been any animations made locally... I mean officially. There are many good animators here.
@SuperCartiel It is an existing episode. I would love to finish it but this 1 minute took 2 weeks of about 8 hours a day... at my current design rates that would mean someone would have to pay me R24 000 per minute of animation for this. That's about $3428 US dollars for every minute of animation. Not something I can do on my own since my business would suffer from 4 months of lost income.
@SuperCartiel Well, what would the purpose be of finishing? The project was done by dividing the minutes of the episode between many students where I studied as a first year exam, but everyone designed their own characters etc so it all looks different. Without being boastful I have to admit that few were up to this standard though. There is one other example done in the style of Reboot. If you search for powerpuff 3d minute you should find it.
@SuperCartiel lol, my country's equivalent... Nice thought but in South Africa the only things that make money are Sports, essential services, government programs (actually I think those lose more money than they make - tax money), and maybe some engineering and mining firms... there really isnt a big animation or arts market... There is an industry but i have many friends and family members in music and the arts and it isnt a self-sustaining industry. I know many animators who could do better.
@moltenhorizon You guys have it worse than we do in America. But our animation industry is still a joke and virtually non-existant. And we still think toons our for babies.
@moltenhorizon oh yah I figured you didn't use Xtranormal it's actualy a horrible website where you can do stuff like this but you have to pay to save it and buy characters and settings and you can get it uploaded to YouTube but you have to pay to do that to :( 3DS max sounds better
@POWERPUFFGiiRLYx3 Thank you!! It took a long time to do. There is another Youtube video of a PPG game which also has a 3D intro. Pretty good! I see you liek invader Zim. He is awesome!
Well that was....odd to say the least. Never actually seen that episode before, so it kinda freaked me out actually XD

Oooh. What class was this? How long did it take?
Kauaimon 1 year ago
@Kauaimon It was the last quarter of my first year 3D class.
It's part of a degree course that focusses on many aspects of design, not jsut 3D.
a Quarter is 8 weeks and I had a 40 hour per week dayjob and 3 subjects.
I guess it was between 40 and 80 hours of work, esspecially since I was still learning how to animate.
