@Angelslover9 1. He's been dead for years, too late to ask him to shut up. 2. His voice was from long years of smoking (he gave it up too late, and also the likely reason his health spiraled--he did anti-smoking ads later). Listen to old Celtics' highlights to hear what he sounded like before the cigarettes. 3. He was a homer, but that's how he helped make the less popular Celtics more popular (whether one likes the style or not) in Boston, and didn't change. Anyone in Boston can correct me.

I watched this series live & was heartbroken. Nowadays, teams & their fans cry about how refs blew a call that cost them a series which is ALWAYS BS because one call or play does not make a series. In '84, I can remember my excitement KNOWING my team, the LAkers, were about to go up 2-0 after winning both games in Boston.

Then the Celtics showed just how precarious a lead can be, and TOOK it from us. The Lakers didn't blow anything, da Celts were just better, period. Respect 4 the game.
