  • Well Christians, Jews will gladly replace you with muslims after they take complete control.

  • @phoenix30223 So what is your problem with Jews? And why bring up that issue on this video? Please make sense of what you are trying to communicate.

  • Now thats Gangster!Amen Jesus!

  • Many people have Stockholm Syndrome. They assume since their daily needs are met, they will be OK, yet in their ignorance, they do not realize their captor has planned their death far more horribly then they can imagine. Christ won the Keys of Sin and Death, yet those held in bondage, though the keys are so close they can touch them, wont use them. Their deaths will come one by one, and Freedom was within reach the whole time.

  • god loves u

  • He was wounded for our transgressions. Thank you Jesus for living, but most of all for dieing for me. How can I ever say thank you enough for how you rescued me from darkness and brought me into light. Forever I will praise Your name, come what may. For I know that my redeemer lives.

  • 0:45 why is the devil screaming??

  • Not sure if they intended it (Mel Gibson) but the Bible talks about Jesus after he dies descending into hell and taking the keys of sin and death from the devil. So I think they show the devil screaming here because he was just stripped of the authority he had. Because after Jesus took the keys he rose from the dead.

  • @fulsman230 when jesus died at that cross he defeated the devil and all his demons.

so Satan is pissed off and tries to tempt everyone by making sinning very attractive. ( think about horror movies , paganry, freemasonery, blasphemy, sex (it's everywhere), drugs, alcohol, music and movies that support hate and anger, and much more

that's how satan tries to pull you away from the good news

    "what's the good news?"

that jesus loves you and died for you.

and it's not as clichè as it sounds

  • I love how some many people comment on the Cross of Jesus which took place 2000 years ago. If you don't agree or you do agree with what actually happened to Jesus and if all this is real, then are you open to say that you are a seeker of truth? Or that your conscience is stirred?

  • Sacred Scripture is a component in the deposit of faith The Lord has given to The Church. There are other components that contain truths that are present and intended to assist us in our salvific walk. Think of our existence in this way...Principalities waging war for souls. And in any war, there will be presence of one camp in another until the last battle is fought. Expect the enemy to be wherever it can be. But call to Heaven wherever you go. Christ will dispatch Guardians.

  • the devil never watched the crucifixion it was not even in the bible where the devil was there

  • Of course the devil was there. The Bible says he (the devil) is the prince of the power of the air. Don't just try to relate to him like he is a human. He is not human although he can abide in humans. We know the devil, & demons possessed people in the Bible and Jesus cast them out. Also, if you were the devil wouldn't you want to be there to watch your enemy be destroyed?

  • embubbacakes: exactly.. the spirit of lucifer was there, watching.

  • @embubbacakes

Find the passage in scripture during the timeline.

    It's not in there.

  • I don't believe the entire movie of the Passion is a completely correct portrayal of what Jesus went through or timeline wise. I think most Christians who are serious students of the Bible would agree. So even if it is incorrect (the movie) what is your point? It does not mean that the Scripture is wrong. I don't base what I believe on the Passion. If there are specific points in this video I used the Passion with here that you have a problem with then what is your specific problem?

  • @embubbacakes

The movie is kind of morbid---I mean, it's why is it supposed to be spiritual when it's so dark?

    See what I mean?

  • The point I think they were trying to make is that we believe the Son of God is being murdered as an innocent man for the sins of the world. Therefore that is why I could believe they would be so morbid. Jesus died a criminals death even though he never broke a law. He willingly gave himself over as a sacrifice to take the place on the cross each one of us should be on. The scripture does say that is was for the JOY set before him (Jesus) endured the cross despising its shame.

  • Therefore I do not believe that Jesus never smiled or was joyful! I believe he was the most incredible person to ever be with. So if things in the movie seemed to morbid in that sense then I agree. The problem is that Jesus is always depicted as an untouchable being. He was VERY touchable! I mean why else would he leave heaven to come all the way here to earth! The best part of the movie to me is when He rose from the dead! Without that taking place we are still in our sins and hopeless!

  • The Bible said at that time he held (had the rights to) the keys of sin and death. He was given that right because we have all broken God's Law. A sinner is a law-breaker. When you break God's Law there are consequences. That is why Jesus chose to die. He took all of our sin and the consequence of death upon himself so that when he rose again he would have conquered sin and death and given us new life through his sacrifice.

  • @embubbacakes

And you think Gibson's perception of this portion of the biblical account is correct?

    I'm serious.

  • John 10:10 the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy I (Jesus) have come so that you may have life and have life abundantly. If the devil was not there then why were people angry and wanting to kill him? Where does that motivation come from? The devil! If your life is full of sin (like everyone who was there physically watching Jesus die on the cross) then the devil & demons were there also.

  • they tortured Christ etc, and youre saying that the devil was not there?

    you better better wake up

  • all im saying is that the bible never said satan was there

  • well, maybe you should learn to read alittlebit between the lines

  • maybe you need to make more sense

  • @megaman2160

That's one of several problems with The Passion, and I'm not even a Christian and can see it---it takes many fanciful elements and adds them in the story which don't take place in the canonized bible. Not to mention how brutal the movie is.

  • I think this movie is a perfect depiction of the agony Jesus faced! It was brutal. We know that Jesus' crucifixion was painful but our minds are very limited understanding how brutal it was...this movie does a great job in getting our minds to think beyond what we think the crucifixion was like. Isaiah 52:14 "Just as there were many who were appalled at Him, His appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness." sounds pretty brutal to me!!

  • @hamoba143

It was torture porn with religious trappings.

    Stop justifying it.

  • @hamoba143 U r very right my friend in ur understanding of how brutal the crucifixion was. But the even grewater suffering Jesus suffered was when He calls on His Father+says: "My God My God y have u 4saken me"? This was the awful moment when Jesus was bearing the full wrath of the Father 4our sins. Jesus was 4saken by His Father at that time. It was a spiritual abandonment. Many ppl don't fully realise what awful agony spiritual abandonment by God means. Jesus bore this 4our sakes. God Bless U

  • The keys to sin and death. That is why Jesus after he died took the keys (like keys to a city) the rights the devil had over sin and death and rose again. That is the whole reason why Jesus died to forgive our sin and give us new life. You are nuts if you don't accept what he did for you :)

  • if you listen to this guy--you need help---he needs a straightjacket--why doesn't God destroy the devil i wonder

  • You need help if you don't listen. God will destroy the devil lock him up and throw away the key forever. Read the book of Revelation. The problem is you don't see your need for Jesus, otherwise you would understand what this guy is saying and what you need to do. This is not to sound hard but when you act like you can just deny the Jesus and what he did for you, you are telling God "I don't need you I can do it on my own without you".

  • God created us people with free will to make our own choices. unfortunatly adam got deceived by jeallous satan(who wanted to be like God and to take over Gods throne) and now we have to pay for one mans actions. if a king or president makes one bad choice, we all face the concequences.

  • Yes everyone has their own beliefs but if you base your beliefs on the Bible you cannot ignore these truths. If you base your beliefs on your experience or opinion you have nothing to stand on. I believe he is a God of love and a God of justice. I don't see from a Biblical point of view how you can confuse that. I also do not see how you cannot be a God of justice with out being a God of love. By the way not all preachers scream, I sweat ;)

  • Trough one mans sin, Adam, we al die and trough one man, Jesus, God in the flesh:we all be saved and live forever. . God already did: for God loved the world so much that he gave His onlyborn Son, for that every person whoever beliefs in Him should not perish in hell for ever but have everlasting Life.

  • make up your mind on who's side you'r on. for the time is near. Jesus will return soon. look around you...the signs are there..read the Bible(especialy the New Testament )..put Gods Word next to reality..God is warning us. keep your eyes onto Israel/Jerusalem theres little time left:open your heart for Jesus. if you have doubts: ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you. Jesus promises that whoever seeks will find Him,

    no Jesus no peace,

    know Jesus know peace

  • what are the keys

  • AMEN! When satan throws doubt and fear our way we have to start slingin the blood! He has no power over us. We only walk through the valley of the SHADOW of death. We fear NO EVIL for Jesus Christ is with us! Hallelujah!!!

  • I love it!Glory to the king,King Jesus,,

  • Satan didn't win when Christ went to the cross. He lost, big time. You can see him ranting here after Christ finally gives

    it up.

  • inspiring...

  • Hallelujah!!!!

God has Give Us the Power to Overcome ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY!!!!

Blessed is the One who comes in the Name of the Lord!!!

  • lol Satan is like.

    GIVE ME BACK MY KEYS!

  • What a preach!! really uplifting!

Satan is scary in this film, real scary.

  • boogie boogie!!

  • jonezisruthless shut up dude your lameee

  • he has a right to an opinion... but even so he do need to shut the heck up.

  • Remember the first commandment. We will find out at the end.

  • may God have mercy on your soul!

    don't ever say that!

  • Satan will have no mercy on your soul you and your mother will swallow feces for all enternity

  • Satan is only around after what he did because of the mercy of God.

  • @Jonezisruthless Satan WON'T b controlling anyone in the Lake of Fire. U need 2 read God's Word the Bible + take it very seriously + act on the message that Jesus gives so u won't b condemned on Judgement Day. There will b no mocking of the Saviour Jesus on Judgement Day. There will b those that receive a crown of Righteousness + Eternal Life + those that will receive Eternal Condemnation. Ask urself which 1 u really prefer? Remember they r both eternal!!!

  • toke the keys and ran? is he a theif or something?

  • the keys I believe are the Laws of God that mankind broke. Jesus was the only one worthy enough to get those keys (authority) back for us. Read Matthew 5:17-20.

  • people made fun of Jesus too much too long, when the anti-christ shows up humanity is in for it!, haha

  • symbolism? That is an answer from someone who lives outside of reality.

  • is the devil a boy or a girl in the film?

  • a woman

  • symbolism

  • it looks like a man to me. A man with feminine features

  • it is a girl, if you look her up on google, you'll see a picture with her hair before she had to shave it off.

  • @ThomasDoc15, Gibson's intent in the film was to depict, satan as androgynous, something reflective of the angelic condition. During the flagellation scene, the devil is depicted holding a "child" in mock to the Mother of God. What's noteworthy is the "child" apart from being obviously an antichrist, is that it is a complete opposite to the Lord as child, in that it is decayed, old, demonic, etc... Hope that helps.

  • Fantastic, thankyou!
